In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I'll pass on that. I have not read any of the books and I have not seen any of the movies. No reason to start now either.

I thought the same thing before I read them, but eventually (I was working at a bookstore) I decided to go ahead. I was impressed. They weren't what I had expected.

Absolutely! I thought the first two films were excellent adaptions of the books and I'm sure the third film will not disappoint.
And I also liked the character of Sirius Black.

I liked the 1st movie - wasn't too impressed by #2 - hoping for a comeback this time around. It's funny - this movie is one of the few times all our kids and one fiance get together at the same time. So the group standing in line will be me,wife,mother-in-law,28 yr. old (and fiance), 24, 22, 21 yr old boys. M

I can't wait to see it! I am a huge HP fan. My fiance thought I was a nerd for loving those books and movies so much, he laughed at me when I bought the first two on dvd, but after he watched them, he got the bug too, he watches them every couple weeks. A coworker of mine saw it this weekend and he said it was very good (he got sneak peek tickets).
