Conservative podcaster Tim Pool is suing Kamala Harris' presidential campaign for allegedly claiming that he was advocating a Donald Trump dictatorship.​

In a lawsuit filed in a West Virginia federal court on Tuesday, Pool claims that the Harris campaign falsely said that he backed the Project 2025 plan to put Donald Trump in the White House. It also states that the Harris campaign claimed Pool was advocating the execution of political enemies.​

The legal action followed a post by the Harris campaign on X, formerly Twitter, over the Labor Day weekend.​

Pool is seeking millions of dollars in compensation and claims that he has had to increase security as a result of the Harris campaign's online comments.​

Do you think there's any connection between Project 2025 and Donald Trump's campaign? I think it's pretty clear that there is. Trump denies it, of course, but what if the shoe were on the other foot?

Trump supporters don't need connections that strong to become believers. They'll believe anything the man says simply because he said it. Pfft. Incredulity is rich in this political environment.

I'm glad he's suing.

What they are doing to him is wrong. They are only attacking him because he gained a little bit of podcast popularity and isn't using that popularity to promote democratic party objectives.

He grabbed a couple TRUE articles or clips over the course of time from a media company that no one knew had roundabout financial ties to Russia...

Since that wasn't the only place he gets information from for his podcast and in fact draws from multiple sources all the time I'm pretty sure it's a safe bet to say he's just a conservative American being attacked over his speech by a rogue US government.

In the case in the OP, his guest, too-racist-for-MTG Laura Loomer, explicitly called for the execution of people.

Well....

I didn't see anything about a dictatorship....or Project 2025. I don't know if that's a regular/staffer or a guest talking about the death penalty for treason.

Well arrested and put on trial. He makes that pretty clear. I don't see anything about dictators or unchecked legal powers. Perhaps that's on a different part of the episode.

If it's not and he can show damages....seems like he has a case.

Russian handlers....you'd think after 2 elections where that accusation turns up false or weak you'd wait for a conviction before believing it.

Well it called him a "Trump operative". I don't watch Tim Pool so I can't speak to that.

It used a clip from his show....which it appears to be talking about....so I think anyone would reasonably conclude who rhe tweet is about.
