  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Harris’ liberal record is hiding in plain sight

When she became vice president in 2021, her liberal voting streak continued. She cast the Senate’s tiebreaking vote a record 33 times to confirm some of the most liberal executive branch appointees and federal judges and to pass nearly $2 trillion in federal spending that many economists blame for driving inflation to near 40-year highs.

The website voteview.com, operated by the University of California, Los Angeles, scored Ms. Harris as more liberal than 99% of the Senate during her tenure from 2017 to 2021.

In 2018, she voted to the left of Senate Majority Leader Charles E. Schumer, New York Democrat. She opposed his bipartisan bill to spend $25 billion on securing the border in exchange for providing a pathway to citizenship for 1.8 million “Dreamers” who came to the U.S. illegally as children.

The Harris campaign did not respond to a media inquiry about her voting record.

The Vice President had to make tie breaking votes on nominees and bills that were too liberal for Joe Manchin? Shocking? No. What is shocking is how dumb the Moonies think we are. Don't fall for their hyperbole. I'm sure the things VP Pence voted for were quite conservative, likely too conservative for moderates like Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski.

That's what she is supposed to do. I really think you might have googled her first before making this thread.

So it was Biden's plan to inundate our country with far- Left policies, and to crash our economy?

You gave me yet ANOTHER reason not to vote for her, thank you.

She will only continue to destroy our economy and force others to accept her extremist views.

No, thank you.

“Things-are-bad-all-over” is a political trope at this point, as all of the numbers suggest that the economy is simply chugging along nicely.
