The following is from a MID-ACTS Perspective, or, overall operating premise.
It continues to remain interesting to me all the differing salvation, predestination, end-time scenarios, etc., that various individuals deduce.
Each scenario the result of their overall operating premise.
And yet, where their scenarios differ from one another actually points to the one key to harmonizing all these differing scenarios, which their proponents all seem to continue to study right past.
For example, when speaking of end-time events, some focus on prophecies pointing to a revived Roman Empire. Others point to 70AD as said Roman Empire was then in existence.
The key to harmonizing both into one? The Mystery hid in God until first revealed to and through a completely unexpected, not to mention - an Apostle OF THE GENTILES!
Whose "wisdom given" him, the ISRAELITE prophet: Daniel, had had no way of getting even the faintest hint of as this odd, unexpected Apostle's "wisdom" had been "even the hidden wisdom of God," 1 Cor. 2:7-9.
According to this Mystery, God had foreseen that although He would offer Israel forgiveness of its crime against His Son, through the Spirit's CONTINUANCE of the Son's ministry TO THAT NATION the majority of that nation would do as their father's before them and "resist the Holy Spirit" Acts 7:51; the very sin the Son had warned ISRAEL "will not be forgiven, neither in (that age) nor in the (age) to come," Matt. 12:30-37.
According to "this mystery" God had determined that with that blasphemy, THIS TIME AROUND, rather than simply TEMPORARILY delay ISRAEL'S Prophetic Timeline (of Prophesied Events) once more, as He'd done in the past, Daniel 9:2, THIS TIME AROUND, He would also begin a work AMONG THE GENTILES - a NEW Creature IN Christ, and only AFTER its fullness would He THEN turn back to "finish the work" PROPHESIED AS TO ISRAEL that He might AT LAST "cut it short in" that "righteousness... upon THE EARTH" that this ODD, NEW, COMPLETELY UNEXPECTED APOSTLE - OF THE GENTILES - relates said ISRAELITE PROPHETS had PROPHESIED concerning ISRAEL'S last days, Rom. 9:28.
It's a work that also concerns Gentiles BUT those in ISRAEL'S day, NOT those of this MYSTERY GRACE AGE, Rom. 11.
With this interruption, the ISRAEL of Acts 2 and 3's "last days," TOGETHER with the Roman Empire, then in power, passed from the scene, AND WITH IT, some of the conditions PROPHESIED by Daniel gave way to other means by which His 70th week Prophecy will yet be fulfilled.
All the varying views are harmonized by the Mystery first revealed to and through that unexpected, odd new Apostle - of - of the Gentiles!
Thus, when Covenant, or Reformed Theology points to 70 AD events, it is PARTYLY right. When it asserts that there are no "Dispensational breaks," that "all unfolds from one to the next," it is PARTLY right.
When Acts 2 Dispensationalism disagrees, it too is PARTLY right.
The reconciling of all the various views is the Mystery they all continue to either ignore, on the one hand, or misinterpet on the other, as to Rom. 11:27-29.
NOT ONE SINGLE VIEW is left unharmonized with ALL the rest, when the Pauline Mystery is considered.
"Now to HIM that IS of POWER to STABLISH YOU ACCORDING TO my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ ACCORDING TO the revelation of THE MYSTERY, which was KEPT SECRET since the world began, BUT NOW is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known TO ALL NATIONS for the obedience OF FAITH: to God ONLY WISE, be GLORY through Jesus Christ forever. Amen," Rom. 16:25, 26.
Note: The reference is to Paul's unique Mystery Gospel - that Mystery Grace Gospel concerning God's MYSTERY Grace in this UNPROPHESIED Age first revealed "through preaching commited unto" Paul, Titus 1, and by his prophetic writings, Rom. 15: 15, 16; 1 Cor. 14:37, made known among all nations for believing in, Rom. 1:13-17.
