• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

I had this problem since i was a child nobody ever diagnosed me anything, but I always felt if I can't concentrate sometimes I feel if its hard for me to fallow what people saying because i get my mind wander very fast. Also if its a bit more difficult texts like some study material I read I feel it needs for me sometime to get used to the text just to read and understand what I am reading. Sometimes it depends on a day even... Sometimes if its more difficult text. I read the question and after less then a minute i forget what i readed. I don't think its normal and I am only 28,but like I say i had this problem very long time ago. It might be that when I was younger I wasn't prepared for school at all I never liked reading books it used to feel if i was forced to do it. At school I was bullied so teacher never asked me questions so i just used to sit at class and imagine i am somewhere else.... What do you think about this?

Have you ever considered going for an evaluation from a profession who could help you sort out what is going on? Sometimes individuals have learning disorders or attention disorders.
