So who out there likes the Hard-core-bang-ur-head type music? I'm talking:

underOATH, RED, Anberlin, Thousand Foot Krutch, Flyleaf, Disciple, Skillet, Monday Morning, Kutless, Dizmas, Norma Jean, and more....

Basically anything under Tooth & Nail, Solid State, and so one...

Are there any hard-core screamo punk rock fans out there? Then let them post...

Skillet ain't hardcore. Underoath I think used to be. TFK definitely isn't. Nothing against those bands, I like them (except TFK) but when I think hardcore, I think:

Born Blind
Point of Recognition
Jesus Wept/xDisciplex A.D.
Six Feet Deep
Nailed Promise
Strongarm

And secular bands:

Agnostic Front
Earth Crisis
Hatebreed
Icepick
Madball
Sick Of It All
Stretch Arm Strong (yes, there are professing Christians in the band, but that doesn't make them a Christian band)

oh my goodness, i would LOVE to go to one of their concerts one day...that would be amazingly FUN!! I went to a Kutless concert awhile ago, but i only went cuz my fav. band was there: Falling Up...but it was a BLAST!! i decided I LOVE concerts...and shows...a few weeks ago i went to a show that starred Jonezetta, Shiney Toy Gun, and Mute Math..that was a BLAST!! Can't wait to go to more!

I am a huge Kutless fan and have been an avid Disciple follower since way back when. The first time I saw them, they only had an EP out and it was just a some church they were playing. Underoath is okay, however I'm not big on the heavy screaming. Do like what I've heard of Flyleaf though.

I know of no actual Chritsian hardcore bands other than old Underoath who I believe were metalcore at the time.

Erm, Anberlin, Kutless and Flyleaf aren't hardcore.

Haste the Day and Showbread are though.

I LOVE punk rock too....I'm really into Hawk Nelson, Relient K, MXPX, Stellar Kart....

Does anyone like the rap/R&B stuff? Like TobyMac, KJ-52, Grits and stuff like that? (what exactly in christian alternative would be R&B? I get soo confused w. that...)

Just so ya know, that's pop-punk, not real punk. Better you hear it from me than the duct-taped legions of real punks who would get all bent out of shape over it. MXPX is the only "real" punk band among them, and it's actually controversial whether they are or not.

who really cares what is punk and what isnt i call what i listen to punk but others dont so i dont care

I always hate trying to classify bands because what you call one thing someone else will jump on you and call it something else.

Not saying that anyone here did, its just on other boards people do that. It kinda gets annoying

Okay, I have a question for you guys. My dad seems to think that hardcore bands can't possibly be Christian because they sound angry. What do you guys think about that?
