CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I'm curious. I've seen a few of these posts, on this site and others, where the post Has The First Letter Of Every Word Capitalized. Why does that happen? Is it something you do on purpose, or are you using some kind of software or PDA that inserts "title case" into your posts? It seems to me that typing that way manually, on purpose, must be much harder to do than using conventional capitalization, as well as being harder to read. Or is it just a habit or personal preference?
My new year was back on first Advent, so I'm a month into my goals at this point. Only my work goals start this month -- which involve getting fully-staffed for the first time in eighteen months, completing a prototypical Common Information Model of the power grid and submitting my month-end reports by month-end for a change. Among my personal goals are moving to Intermediate level ballet, and prototyping a pattern of weekday Bible readings aligned with and supplementing the Revised Common Lectionary.
