[SHADOW=blue]But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthains 15:57[/SHADOW]

I must say thank Thanks to my Lord I'm very happy. I was at a job that was really stressing me out and I even had to go out on leave. Then Lord heard my cry and moved me to a new location, so yes I'm very happy. Thank you Lord!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I do enjoy my job but sometimes feel used a lot...only a trainee at the mo but am doing the managers job cos he left 5 months ago, haven't replaced him yet...there's a lot of pressure sometimes to make big decisions and it's hard getting paid trainee allowance (£64 a week!! - i'm not kiddin) - I know it's not about money and that doesnt really bother me....I haven't been working that great anyway recently, spending too much time on here!

But thanks be to God! Solid scripture there - I can do nothing in my own strength and put all my hope, faith and trust in My Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ who gives me grace, peace and strength to work through it.

Hmmmmm. Well my current job beats a sharp stick in the eye! I've been working on the midnight shift for almost 18 years. I'm getting too old for this.  I would love to work days, but then I would have to work Sundays 8 weeks out of every 12, which is not an acceptable choice for me. At least as the senior person on Midnights I can choose my days off.

Gosh what a subject. No, I really don't like my job (paralegal). Unfortunately, I've only been there since the middle of October. I won't bore you with the details. For a while now, since before I took this job, I've been wondering if this career where God wants me to be. The attorney I worked for at my last job switched firms and we are in informal talks about my going to work for him at his new firm. That attorney and I have pretty good working chemistry (at least since I've figured out his moodswings - all attorneys have moodswings) and he had nothing to do with why I took my current job, actually, he left for the same reason, just after I did. Anyway, if I take this job, and I'm still unhappy, I think I need to seriously consider a career change. I have my BA, so I'm considering teaching high school and going back to school for certification and a Masters. I also want to have kids sometime. I just don't know what I want to be when I grow up.

I am truly blessed in my work. I build artificial limbs, so I get to play small part in the miracle of rehabilitation. I don't have to think hard to find meaning in what I do,Ican see it. I work with a truly wonderful group of people whose prime motivation is not profit, but what is best for the client, sometimes at the expense of profit. At the end of the day, any day, I can feel I have in some way had a positive impact on someone. And it pays reasonably well too. I am blessed.
