In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I am 19 this year and I am from Singapore. I am a Presbyterian and I am curious about what Christian Forums is all about. It seems that I will be spending much time exploring all the various topics here.

I am very keen on Apologetics and I have an amateur blog about Christian Apologetics titled Vita Brevis, which means Life is Short in Latin. Too bad I am unable to list the website address here as Christian Forums demands that I have at least 15 posts before I can do so.

Navigating is easy from the User CP button. Also check out Armor (That is where you can build the little doll character you may see at the left of many posts) and Custom. You may also click on any person’s name on the Left of a Post to ‘Bless’ them, PM them or read their Profiles. You can also ‘Bless’ someone by clicking on the Heart/Cross Icon and you can give someone “Reputation” (Repping) by clicking on the little Hand Icon at the top right of a post.

Blessings are the currency of CF. You get one blessing every time you post. You may also play games to win Blessings, or you can donate to CF and you get 100 Blessings per US Dollar.

You can use blessings to buy a personalized avatar, or if you wish to change the way anything on your posts looks, or build a doll character like at the left, it costs you Blessings. Health stays 100% if you post about 5 times a day. If you don’t post for a while, it goes down.
