Joshua ejected the ammo clip from his BRR5 Battle Rifle and inserted a new one. He watched as plasma bolts darted past the corner of the building he was hiding behind. Soon, no more plasma bolts or needles flew past the corner. He began to peek around the corner, when a plasma grenade suddenly landed before him. Joshua's eyes widened, then he turned around and dived in the opposite direction of the grenade. Three seconds later, it exploded and blew off the corner of the building. His shields shimmered and became visible for a moment, but disappeared after a few seconds. He went back to what was left of that part of the building and looked directly across from there. He saw an alley way, a means of escape from the birgade of Covenant troops. He grabbed a frag grenade from his grenade belt, pulled the pin, and tossed it around the corner. After he heard it explode, he sprinted across to the other side, hoping they hadn't seen him cross. He peeked around the corner and saw several Grunt and Jackal corpses, but the Elite still lived. He saw the tip of the Elite's head. Due to the grenades explosion, the Elites shields dissapated, but they would soon regenerate. Joshua took advantage of this moment, and took aim at the Elite's head. As soon as the recticle was on the Elite, he pulled the trigger, hoping the bullets would reach him in time before his shields came back. Soon after he pulled the trigger, Joshua saw purple blood spatter everywhere. After that, he heard a loud thump, indicating that the Elite had been killed. Relieved, Joshua activated his COMlink and tried to reach any other UNSC forces. For a few seconds he only heard static, so he talked into his transmitter and said ,"Chief? You there, Sir? This is Spartan 31, requesting backup. Hello, is anyone there? Skull Face? If anyone can here me please respond."

Grail opens his comms. "Grail here what do you need spartan 31?" Grail looks up at master chief & [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse] his head. "Glad to be recognised Cortana just point in the right direction & master chief you should remember I was recruit 124 we trained together for a while on the spartan project. Anyway just point me in thr right direction." Grail salutes master chief & gives the v smile sign over the top of his black ops helmet.

"the master chief looked at Grail. "take Skull as your spotter and go help out 31..hes gonna need it. just follow the cordanates cortana put on your HUD. take one other...the rest of you we are gonna take the ship. follow me but spread out. stay in teams of tow...and wach out for hunters."

Grail signs smiling. "Copy that master chief." He turns to Skull. "You've got point so lead the way." ((Grail will follow you so you have some control over his actons)) Grail holsters his plasma rifles & his needler. "I need to get hold of a covvie beam rifle."

the master chief turned to the rest of the squad. "ok people, keep it light on extras but take as much ammo as possible...its gonna get tough out there. lets move." his HUD flashes blue dot of acknowledgement.

Spartan 31 looked around to see if any more Covenant patrols were near. Nothing showed up on his radar, so he continued to look for any allys. He leveled his BattleRifle and carefully checked the ally ways for any Covenant equipped with active camoflouge. After a short period of searching, Spartan 31 entered a building and tried to use his COMlink again. "Hello, is anyone there? This is Spartan 31, does anyone read me?". At first he heard nothing but static, but then, he could hear someone talking, but the words were unclear. "Hello? This is Spartan 31, do you copy?" "Yes I...". Due to the static, the words didn't come out very clear, but he was able to make out what was being said with the words given. "Who is this?" Just as he said this, he saw a large group of Covenant patrol units on his radar. As he examined his radar, he assumed that a pair of Hunters were with them. "Who ever you are, I need back up now! A large group of Covenant are headed my way, and there is a pair of Hunters with them. I'm sending my coordinates to you now. Should you reach my location in time, be careful. I'm assuming there are about 15 troops, not counting the Hunters. Spartan 31 out." As soon as he finished his transmission, he quickly began to search for a hiding place. If the troops searched the buildings for inhabitants, he would at least have a hiding place so he could be safe for a short time. As soon as the patrol left, he would come out of hiding and watch for the reinforcements he had asked for.

Grail hears the lastest message over the comms then starts for then leaps away out of a nearby window. "Assign him to someone else." He calls back over the comms. "Grail out."

Suddenly all that was visible on lots of radars is one green in a sea of red, then one of reds vanishes and the green is suddenly where it was. Then all hell breaks loose as the reds begin firing at one another, Grail pings his comms twice then the green vanishes from the radars.

Suddenly the covvie patrol near 31 sets off at a run to aid the others in the firefight, Grail emerges from the shadows and walks towards 31's location. "You can come out now their gone." Suddenly he sinks to the floor then shudders and stands again.
