See, I've gone to Goodwill many times for costumes, but only came up with these: banana yellow 80's dress, dark, hideously ugly funeral dresses or more itchy wool outfits than I can shake a stick at.

I just can't find the cutesy stuff.

i like to dress up as movie things. Once in college, we had a costume party and my hall went as various things from the wizard of oz. I was the emerald city and i wore a lime green sequined dress and any other sparkly green thing i could find. It was great fun.

I wonder if I'll even be able to dress up. I went trick or treating until I was 17. (Poor ISTJ father who thought children shouldn't trick or treat past 10. ) My girlfriend will be at Acquire the Fire in Cleveland, and my sister will probably be in labor and wants someone to take her brats Trick or Treating. (Last year, they were batman and robin..) I think I might just buy a ninja suit or something. XD

I love dressing up. Halloween is great because it gives me an excuse to play dress up!

I loved Trick or Treating and wish I could still do it. I always liked it better than the harvest festivals/Trunk or Treat things.

My only problem with Halloween is Dots. Dots are like the fruitcake of Halloween.

You know what is even worse than Dots? Mary Janes, they taste like stale peanut butter taffy, which is what it is. You can chip a tooth trying to chew one of those nasty things.

I normally think up these strange things using Greek mythology or my favorite childhood fairy tales - the ones you don't normally think about. I wanted to do a darker version of the Queen of Hearts last year, but I felt really bad b/c I didn't get in it on time to create a good enough costume. In desperation, I started looking for pre-made outfits and saw one dress for $200. After that, I just shrugged off the whole concept.

what i like about halloween is the change of the seasons the most. the colors of the leaves, the leaves all over the ground, watching the kids on trick or treat night just having a blast dressed up as their favorite super hero or vilian, or them dressing up as goblins or whatever then watching the parents dress up with them. the cool air...i liked that i had to put on my leather jacket just a little bit ago to go to the gas station.

Haha, yes, that's very true.

People have tried to start it here before, however they're usually met with responses along the lines of 'screw that American crap'. Yeah, it's not really looked upon fondly here.

I love Halloween. It's a time when you can dress up and look stupid and nobody cares. My whole family dressed up last year and I'm hoping to this year.

My favorite Halloween memory is when I was little and we went Trick or Treating at my grandma's house. She gave out popcorn. Everyone loved going to her house. It was the "hot spot" of the neighborhood.
