GREAT QUESTION:

The original Dream Team I began to get me from 6 1/2 to 10 Stars. Amazingly tons joined in and did it in 5 days. After that folks asked, what's next?

So I started the ongoing DREAM TEAM sign up.

WHAT DO WE DO: The Dream Team is a think tank for initiating projects that extend the original vision (the building of community and friendships as we shamelessly and creatively seek more REPS! and seek to rep others.)

DREAM TEAM PROJECTS: Are up to you and those who are attracted to the idea you come up with. Some ideas will catch fire others will bomb. Expect that and don't get upset if your ideas aren't widely grabbed. Some are initiators others are great team members -- both are needed to see STARS!

The Alpha Star Dream Team is a project started by joyshirley and led by she and Viper07. Their team reaches out to folks without a first star and reps them over a week period. Joy can point you to the details if you are interested or just ask in the fellowship thread.

New projects are welcome. I am playing with a Rep Coaches Idea (see siggy for the link. We just began the Repaholic of the Month program and will be awarding Reppies.

So, that's what's up!

I am amazed at the great participation.

And I am getting reps while I am at it.

That's a visionary way to go about increasing rep, Rep Daddy. But don't you fear that the ever increasing reps are leading to rep hyperinflation? Soon 10,000,000 reps will be nothing!

Good question.

First it was already happening when I became a repaholic and the increase to 40 reps accelerated it.

But is it bad?

The reps cant be exchanged for CF items (like blessings can). Now there is some bartering of reps for blessings here but paying reps still is limited to 40 reps per day.

I think the danger is competition of a negative sort. This is exactly why I am taking the approach I am. My goal is for reps to be a vehicle for encouragement and community building.

I have used humor and fun as leverage to refocus the attention a bit. And folks have welcomed it in large numbers. That is a very encouraging sign.

So I am less concerned with hyper inflation that that the focus remain positive.

I do think the Red, Blue, Green Star request will make the star thing meaningful for more people.
