CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

It doesn't strike me as something I "must see".
Last night I saw a commercial for it on TV. I was half asleep (dozed off on the couch) and heard one girl say something similar to "oh no, your hair deflated".
That cracked me up.

I love the original but I'll probably still see this, but probably not 'til after it comes out on DVD... there's too many other "must see" movies on my list that this one will probably get bumped from my theatre list

I'd like to see it, but I know there is no way DH will. Maybe a girls's night out.

i not sure if i want to go and see it coz I've heard so many mixed reviews about it ... some saying its really good others saying that it's the worst thing they've ever seen.. so i dont know!!

I had the chance to see a preview, but I passed on it. Didn't feel like seeing a movie that night -- you know how sometimes you're just not in the mood?
I also wasn't sure I wanted to see John Travolta in drag. That schtick gets old after awhile.
But I heard it's a great, fun, frothy film, so now I probably WILL go see it.

Hairspray was pretty good. John Travolta kept me laughing in the movie. Its probably not a movie for everyone, but I enjoyed it.

Hairspray was a 1980s John Waters film. It was later adapted into a broadway musical. This is the movie of the musical, not a remake of the original.
No I have never had that feeling regarding movies.
On Hairspray:
I loved it. Definitely not my favorite or the best movie-musical, but probably the most fun one.

Can't say either is good looking.
Didn't like the original(my daughters have the movie)
So why see the new one.
