Haiku anyone?

Haiku is so very difficult in English

Morning sun rises
Frosted ground thaws
ah, bright birds in a brittle sky

Grey is the rain and
Grey is my heart, longing for
silence, love and peace.

A longing for spring,
Like a longing for peacetime,

Ninety-nine are fine and good.
One destroys the rest.

The Beatific Vision 

What exists in life,
So abundant are these things,
So few can I see.

Holy Father God,
There you are, in front of me,
There, in everything.

You, my Father dear,
Are resplendent in the view,
Of all that I see.

To see thee, Father,
Is a joy to heart and soul,
Loving comes from you.

Always, in this life,
Your beauty gladdens my heart,
Joy abounds in life.

How little I see,
How magnificent thou art!
So great, my Father!

Some of the "Haiku" posted here is actually a poetry genre called Senryu. It is exactly the same except Haiku is ONLY about nature. Senryu has the same 5/7/5 scheme but cover all other topics. Not trying to be a know it all but I just recently found this out my self.
