Gwenyfur Moderator Application. Q&A

Hi, Gwenyfur would like to be a forum specific mod for military. She'll remain as a Theology mod but if voted in she would have authority to act as a mod in the Military forum.

Please use this thread to ask any questions.

Sure I can...Squids, Puddle Pirates, Zoomies and Ground Pounders are all good in my book...so long as they realize Marines are the elite

In all seriousness, we all put on the uniform, picked up a weapon and pulled the duty...we volunteered for hell, and went there and back, and live with the nightmares...

I don't know if I could vote or not but voted against her as in the past she recommended FSB against me and added meanings to my posts in this forum that were untrue.

Also, I know from other situations with other members and myself that it is her SOP to ignore PMs regarding her behavior in mod actions- sometimes she has retaliated against the PMs making claims of harrassment.

I just cannot back someone who cannot respond to her own mod actions and behaviors even a PM.

Trying to communicate with her is like running into a brickwall.

All mod actions are a team response...as far as yours or anyone's PMs...I answer the direct questions and refuse to debate in them. It's not part of my job as a moderator to debate the team's actions...that's what the report threads and the staff areas are for. My inbox is reserved for members with real needs, real questions about policy or site features, for prayer requests and fellowship.

You want to question my actions as a moderator then start a thread in teh staff forum appropriate to the report and action you have a complaint about. They're all team and consensus driven, so every moderator who had input on the decision can answer your question...but I guaruntee...they wont' debate semantics with you either.

You make it sound as though this not the proper arena to discuss this. It is. It is a moderator apllication Q&A. My input is relevant. Most of the incidents I refer to regarding PMs were prior to the public report threads and because the new CEO has made it clear those reports are probably going private again, you will be issuing warnings and infractions all the while ignoring requests explaining your actions and this is a relevent concern.

I make it sound exactly as it is:

I will not debate any team decided action in PM...I will answer the question and explain the rule in a PM, but when it comes to debating the team's decision...start a thread...

as for this thread and election...with Lee's announcement...it's moot...
no more mod elections.

no more mod elections.

I sent a PM to Letalis requesting clarification on it since Lee made on comment about no new Mods but using the existing ones or something like that.

He read it but hasnt responded yet.

Am not doing an official Mod hat as this will either be in violation of that rule or Off Topic as per Lee - there will be no debating Mod actions in this thread.

I am not twisting anything. IMO you are inconsiderate and uncharitable. My first experience of this was way back when I saw a PM quoted in the public appeals before 7/7/7. The person asked you a reasonable question and you responded by accusing him of harrassment. In my past dealing with you, you have refused to even answer my PMs. Whether this vote continues or not, IMO, you should not be moderating.

and you have no idea of all the facts of that one...
11 PM's in less than an hour...
all trying to justify a flame...

ALL of which my admins had, ALL of which were verified as cordial...and in fact if I recally, I was commended by my team for going "above and beyond" in handling of those PMs...

So before you keep going off half-cocked with wet powder...get the facts
