  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

The issue here is the "That's debatable." Which is true. Philosophers have been doing this for hundreds of years. Do you think that "one day" the Roman Catholic Church will be soundly defeated in theology logic after all this time,
What the heck is theology logic? Some sort of parallel logic? How is that even the question? We were discussing methods of interpreting the bible, and not the internal consistency of a theology that circles around exceptional claims, anyways.

proving that they should not exist?
Where did this come from?
Whether the RC should exist or not has not been point of our discussion, and "proving that something should" is a nonsense phrase, in the first place.

You asserted something about your interpretation of the Bible, and this follows from that... you said "Should I?"... I am trying to answer that and other things...

The people who go though the legal means to get those guns, would be the least likely to use them. I'm sorry, but what are (you)talking about? Criminals get their guns completely seperated from the methods that Bob's Gun Store goes though to get guns.

I see you missed my point...Like our Marine Corps Military Drone MikeMcK. (By the way, the AK-47 bit was an example, you're not supposed to take it literally, like the Bible)

I'm sure someone is quite capable of legally purchasing a weapon, then deciding to blow people away with it. It only takes a trip to K-Mart or whatever gigantic store-o-shiza you Yanks have.
Also, those legally purchased, signed for and counted arms that Uncle Bob just bought...well, they tend to get taxed a bit en route, you know, like electrical equipment and other goods that are boosted and sold on the Black Market.
But if, you insist on being right, I won't stand in front of you when you're wielding a Franchi Spas...it might end in disagreement, one person full of shot, and the other walking scot free...for defending their views.

"Guns. Cos negotiations make you think too much."

You can do the same thing with a car, or a baseball bat. Both of which are a lot easier to get than a fully atuo assault rifle. In some place, it's easier to get a car than a handgun.
