  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Again if the person was willing to play by the rules. The black market is buying thing illegally guns, drugs whatever.
Requiring licensing would reduce the number of guns on the black market because a large percentage of guns being sold on the black market are being purchased legally. You would still have a problem with stolen guns being sold on the black market, but taking the legally purchased ones off the market would put a big dent in gun crimes.

Training is good for handling a dangerous situation or to save a life or prevent a crime. A waiting period and thorough back ground checks are a good cooling off period before a crime happens. I think they should happen in every state. We have enough laws. They should be enforced. When you answer your own questions on the form it puts the responsibility on you. It’s easy to lie when you have evil intent.

The back ground checks are good enough for me but they don’t catch red flags. Are you going to eliminate everyone who has seen a psychologist. Why not eliminate the black market. As was said banning guns will not keep them out of the hands of criminals.

The man in the video encourages firearms safety courses. That's great for the gun owner, but it has no bearing on a mass shooting, as safety is not the concern of a person bent on killing people.
Safety courses could prevent some of the many accidental gun deaths.

Which may be why some states require them for CCWs (most states by now actually ( assuming they actually still require CCWs to carry which come January 1st will be down to half the country. (though it is still strongly advised to maintain one.

I bet if you stopped Dem supporters from owning guns, most shootings would stop.
That would require repealing the first and second amendment so, go on then, ill wait.

I'm not seriously suggesting that, I'm just pointing out that the vast majority of these people that carry out these mass-shootings, happen to be democrat supporters.

It’s the vast majority but you can’t point to any?

It comes to light with each shooting, then disappears down the internet hole. ...Which exactly how they want it.

The Left has much more proclivity towards violence than the Right.
What are the Democrats? Are they the right or the left?

Yanno. You'd think there'd be at least one conspiracy theorist who'd've taken a screenshot of "pre-scrubbed" info so they could upload it at will.
I’m curious to see how the Uvaldie shooter was involved in Democratic politics. Did he register as a Democrat on his birthday before or after buying the rifle?

Gun control is being able to hit your target with a tight shot group with as few rounds as possible and eliminate the threat.
Joe even said, in Congress that "criminals will find ways to get guns and no amount of gun control will stop them."
Criminals do not care about any laws. Gun free zone signs simply make that place an easier target.

What you are describing is shot grouping. Gun control is the regulation of selling, owning, and use of guns.

Well in that case, we should do nothing. Great plan.
