  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Joe Versus the Volcano - There's a whole JVtV cult out there on the internet (I'm not a part of it) that finds unfathomable depth and meaning in its script and has several whole message boards devoted to parsing each line. I'm not THAT into it, but I do love the movie.

Captain Ron - It's actually pretty boring to watch, but at the same time I vicariously live through the characters as they tool around in the Caribbean on a boat. Something I'd love to do some day before I die.

Scooby Doo & Scooby Doo II - Pretty dumb movies all around, but they were funny as heck. Especially the scene in the first one where Shaggy meets a girl on the plane:

SHAGGY: So like, what's your name?
GIRL: I'm Mary Jane.
SHAGGY:  That's like, my favorite name!

ROFL!!!!

It's a film that many love but for religious reasons I'm afraid to admit in certain company that I love it...Pulp Fiction.

As far as dumb movies I like? Wayne's World, Office Space, and Napoleon Dynamite. Not really any punchlines in these movies but lots of classic scenes and classic soundbites that make them remembered and loved

Yes! I love Evolution! Hillarious and yet so stupid.

That would have to be the one movie I rate as my guilty pleasure.

Dr. - "We may have to take the leg..."

Block - "Whoa, Doc! Don't take the leg! Ira, don't let them take my leg!"

Dr. - "It's moving towards his groin."

Block - "Take it! Take it! Take the leg!!"

Interesting story: I watched Captain Ron over the weekend a there was a scene that, here in August 2005, was strangely creepy.

The family takes their boat to St. Haag, an island populated by local Caribbeans and by descendants of the original Dutch colonists. The teenage daughter was making friends with a couple of wealthy Dutch locals. The whole time I was watching that, I kept wondering if that's where Natalee Halloway's troubles began.
