yes, it is a little vague, and that's a good answer. (we do suffer physical pain for His sake).

more specific, just as in the previous q and a , God honors His Word even above His Name,

I was thinking more along those lines - "if a man makes a promise, he keeps it even if it causes him loss" ... i.e. a righteous man keeps his word no matter what, if he is able to even at great cost to himself (makes a wise man not give his word too hastily, unless he is sure of all the potential consequences)

Revelations 12:10-11?

10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

Who is this talking about? The martyrs? (it doesn't say "who" it is)

that's the verses , yes. overcomers by the word of their testimony and by the blood of the Lamb.

the Expanded Translation shows more specifically 'who', without contradiction or stretching - i.e. simply who the context/ language refers to ::>>

I read the KJV Bible. I prefer to answer questions that are clearly covered in it. I prefer not to "surmise" or "fill in the blanks."

I would've never gotten that question or part two of it. I prefer to respond to questions that are clear and forthright, so that this thread stays fun and edifying, while being excited about delving in the Bible, or reinforcing what i'm learning in my studies.

Just a thought: If i am not familiar with any semblance or detail of the question asked, and the question seems so remote, how would i even begin to find the answer?

It kinda reminds me of trying to guess the number of jelly beans in a huge glass container.

if you're able to search on biblegateway.com, which has many different translations readily available and searchable,

that is an often 'quick' and 'easy' way to find more full meanings of the Scripture than the KJV reveals.

i tried to stick to KJV for you as you prefer it, but sometimes what comes to mind/ inspired even, is in another translation (and not opposed to KJV, but revealing a fuller, and sometimes a more accurate meaning).

particularly on this forum, (not on this thread, btw), it has been apparent that KJV is not conveying to the readers of it the full meaning of different passages. i'm not saying trust one or the other over the others, but prayerfully reading different ones when seeking the truth has been rewarding, Yhvh willing.

i'll continue to try to stick to KJV here, as it is a fine request on this thread.... but there may be some exceptions as there have been.

Actually, this was WISDOM saying that. She was with God in the beginning. Heard it preached as words from the LORD, though, many times. Not wrong to think of it that way.
