Should a Christian play a game such as this? I loved the GTA series before I became a Christian and now I'm feeling convicted for even wanting to go rent it.

Should we as Christians fill our minds with a game full of sex, drugs, murder, cursing, and such?

Is it just a game or is it sin?

I myself know reality for fiction but do you think Jesus would be smiling if he were sitting next to us playing such a game?

To rent or not to rent. That is the question...

 As a christian myself I would love to have this game, also a pk, but my mom won't let me because of the blood, drugs, sex, and overuse of coursing. But my parents let me have Driver3 because it doesn't have as much cousing, no sex, and drugs but it is still rated M. :sorry:

If it was up top me, you would have to take the sex apeal and cousing away and would would be a much better game. There also seems to be a lot more violence than thers.

There's already other threads on San Andreas. Why didn't you just post in one of them? There's a live one on page two!

Depends if you can handle it or not.

It's very much a part of this fallen world that we live in. If you have no problems watching movies that depict these things, then you should have no problems with this game.

Is it just a game or is it sin?
It's a game that depicts a lot of sin. There's no sin in playing it.

I myself know reality for fiction but do you think Jesus would be smiling if he were sitting next to us playing such a game?
Jesus wouldn't touch this game. This game shows that this world is fallen and that sin is rampant.

To rent or not to rent. That is the question...
I didn't waste my money renting it. I straight up bought it!:D

One of my favorite things to do in GTA was to start killing everyone in sight.
This of course would get the cops after me. So I had to take em down!
Then the feds and helicopters would come, so I killed them as well! :)

That was fun, but I always wanted to keep my death count. So the challenge was to get back to a paint shop and disguise my car. I usually made it, but they were nasty about it.
I forgot what my death count was, it was very high.

I also liked the rampage missions.

Anyone find the racing missions frustrating? On the 2nd race of the game(in the middle of nowhere on the San Fran island) Im in first place when all of a sudden a police car drives infront of me, knocking me to last. Then I try it again and Im in first most of the way through before a guy hits me from behind, my car spins around, and then a few moments later my car flips over as I go over a hill. Either way, the game is awesome.:D

Also, I dont think theres an unlimited health code unless you use a gameshark. Just do a search on it. Its more fun when you actually have a chance at dying anyways though.

I'm not finding the races bad at all. When you get to San Fierro, in the driving school, the last test has you doing a lap around the city in 2 minute or less without taking any damage. It's insanely difficult. I'm also doing a mission where you have to shoot down a bunch of model planes. I can't even get close to passing that one as of yet!

The mission where you have to get to one end of the city and back is pretty difficult. The viewpoint in your car is also quite annoying when going up inclines in the road as you can't see what's up ahead, unless you keep the left stick pressed forwards all the time.

And yes, the GTA series wasn't insanely difficult (compared to others) so that you won't need a cheat for unlimited health, unless you want to complete it as soon as you can.

I've heard that one is insanely difficult. Just hold down the trigger and aim, coz the mini-gun takes a while to get upto speed.

I'm still back on Los Santos, I'm stuck on the Ryder mission, Robbing Uncle Sam. That mission aggrevates me to no end
