Chains of sin weighed heavy upon my heart
Links that represented sorrow, anger, guilt, and shame
burdening me
Waiting for Jesus to answer my prayers
To hear my pleas of repentence and calm my soul with His grace
Lifting me
The warmth of true love fills my senses
Knowing that God is alive and with me in all that I am
Forgiving me
His Word speaks to me, imparting His wisdom slowly although certainly
Growing within me to fulfill me and give me strength
Enlightening me
Compassion flows outward from His mighty hands
Giving me comfort and peace in all I do.
Changing me
I am His daughter and I know this now. He will never forsake me.
He's always and forever a part of my life
Living in me.
