  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Here are my thoughts on growing a conscience that I came up with after watching a preacher on tv.
Matthew 6 :22 "The eye is the lamp of the body; so then if your eye is clear, your whole body will be full of light." ** Spiritual vision is our ability to see clearly what God wants us to do and to see the world from his point of view. When we follow our own desires we block this vision. A good eye is one that is fixed on God.

One way we can see what God wants us to do is to follow our gut instincts. If we feel that something is not right, that is God talking to us, letting us know that maybe we shouldn't do something, or go down a certain road, or say certain things. It is best to listen to your gut.

Only do what is right for you…don't feel like what one person is doing is what you should be doing. You should always do what feels right to you. Don't judge people for what they are doing either, focus on yourself.

Acts 23:1 "Paul looked straight at the Sanhedrin and said "I have fulfilled my duty to God in all good conscience to this day." It is important to be able to say to yourself at the end of each day that you have fulfilled your duty to God in good conscience. You can do this every day by being quick to follow what God puts in your heart. If you listen to what he puts there you will be able to obey. Remember: God rewards obedience.

Things to remember:

God meets us at our level. God does not expect you to make changes overnight. He meets us where we are at and then works with us from there. Not all of us are at the same level so do not judge yourself against others. Worry about yourself.
God Will help you change if you work with him. If you constantly refuse to listen to your conscience, you make it hard for God to work with you and eventually you grow cold to God's word and do not notice his help.
Never be to proud to apologize for any wrongdoing.

Matthew 6:23 "But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness." If we do not open our eyes to God's will we close ourselves off to live with a heavy conscience. Remember a good eye is one that is fixed on God.

Pray to God to help you develop a tender conscience, to help you to be quick to obey.

We just have to make sure what we feel like is from God, is actually from God, His Spirit does not contradict His written word. Of course, we need to know the word in the right time, not take out of context.

Christians need to keep in the Bible, study the New Testament, and all of Scripture, and pray the Holy Spirit will guide into all truth.

(there have been sincere church people, who go off and stone their kids thinking God is testing their faith like Abraham, realizing later that was wrong and claiming insanity in court, even though the church they attended 3 times a week did not have a clue, true texas news story)

Test all things to see if they are from God, from the flesh, from the devil. Follow the right God.

At least those people weren't hypocrites . So many people claim the "authority of the Scriptures" and demand others to think likewise . Yet , they deliberately refuse to obey the Scriptures with regards to things like that . Those people showed what the true doctrine is . But , people will continue to shout that doctrine for some reason in spite of what those others have done .
