i feel fagile right now. i have spent the day (about 24 hours now) being thoughtful and tearful. alot on my mind. i've been praying alot... and relaxing alot... truthfully i am doing much better than i could be (no pibolar-schitzophrenic troubles).
i am draw to 1 Corinthians 13... (i made a devotional)
http://www1.christianforums.com/t2093470-when-you-wash-use-soap.html&page=11#post21772512, it's about love. and Proverbs 21:21
(also part of my daily devotional)http://www1.christianforums.com/t2562253-grieving-the-holy-spirit.html, also about righteousness and love. this is what is on my heart. i know that grief is a process. i know that all my emotions and thoughfulness is shaping me. my grief is the struggles we all share in our lives and here on CF. i'm looking for encouragement, fellowship, like-minded hearts... i ask for encouragement and or advice from you.

Romans 15
Bearing Others’ Burdens
1 We then who are strong ought to bear with the scruples of the weak, and not to please ourselves. 2 Let each of us please his neighbor for his good, leading to edification. 3 For even Christ did not please Himself; but as it is written, “The reproaches of those who reproached You fell on Me.” 4 For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope. 5 Now may the God of patience and comfort grant you to be like-minded toward one another, according to Christ Jesus, 6 that you may with one mind and one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Philippians 2
Unity Through Humility
1 Therefore if there is any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and mercy, 2 fulfill my joy by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. 3 Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. 4 Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.
The Humbled and Exalted Christ
5 Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, 6 who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, 7 but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. 9 Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, 11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Light Bearers
12 Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; 13 for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.
14 Do all things without complaining and disputing, 15 that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, 16 holding fast the word of life, so that I may rejoice in the day of Christ that I have not run in vain or labored in vain.
17 Yes, and if I am being poured out as a drink offering on the sacrifice and service of your faith, I am glad and rejoice with you all. 18 For the same reason you also be glad and rejoice with me.

MY DEAR SISTER GOLDENVIOLET,

i am so used to enjoying your positive threads--glorifying God and encouraging others--that i am kind of a loss of how to be of help to you in your time of need. i've read your Post over several times and am not quite sure of the means Satan is using at this time to attack your sense of happiness, peace, and joy in the Lord. You say you are in need of "encouragement, fellowship, like-minded hearts . . . i ask for encouragement and or advice from you."You have always provided these things for the rest of us, and all the Scriptures you have quoted are positive and uplifting, so i am at a loss as how to satisfy your request, not knowing what has prompted it.

:prayer:i would, however, ask our Loving God to have mercy on our sister GOLDENVIOLET in her time of need, providing her with Your Love and Your Support and Your Defense against the Evil One in our her time of need. Bless her, O Lord, as she has been a blessing to so many others, and lift her out of the darkness of unhappiness, depression, and despair, and return her to the Light of your Compassion and Love. Grant her, O Lord, happiness, peace, and joy and, above all, the knowledge and experience of Your wonderous Love and Care for her. We ask this in the Holy Name of our Lord, God, and Savior Jesus Christ. AMEN! :prayer:

REJOICE IN THE LORD ALWAYS, AND AGAIN, I SAY REJOICE!!!!!!!

(Phil 4:4)

MUCH LOVE TO YOU IN CHRIST,
ephraim

your prayers, comfort and encouragement is a blessing. what i want more than anything is an awakening within ourselves of the great gifts we can bestow on one another. and an awearness of the way we treat, speak, post, act twards eachother.
i tell my children; "there is so much pain in the world, but God's family has eachother" ... i long to see us, differences and all, stop and put love first. to love God, to mirror Him, to complete God's will of ministring to one another; being a light to the world... while we have time left together. i, in a way am reaching out not just for myself but for all of us. a series of things i have seen happening have caused these things to stir inside of me.

I am with eph on this one. I am shocked to see you like this GV. Especially after reading your posts in the struggles section. It seems you have the right advice for EVERYBODY hurting in there.
I guess even the strongest of us falls back.
I have been falling back as well.
I am at a loss too because I don't really understand the specifics of your struggles. Could you maybe tell us in a little detail what's bothering you. If you cannot say it here there's always the PM (If it is up and running now).
I think the fact that God has a purpose for each of our lives is a main cause of depression. We don't feel like we have a purpose because of our situation and circumstances (I know that's the case with me). We feel we have no use because we are constantly down. But as hard as it is for us to believe there is a purpose. And a thought occured to me when I read your OP that God might be trying to show you something. He must be because as I said before I am stunned:eek:.

(Psalm 57:2) I will cry unto God most high; unto God that performeth all things for me.

(Isaiah 54:17) No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgement thou shalt condemn...

(Isaiah 26:3,4) Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength:

(I Thessalonians 5:16-18) Rejoice evermore.
Pray without ceasing.
In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

God bless you all!

i haven't fallen in faith, i'm not feeling dark or depressed, i don't feel alone or attacked, or anything like that. i was feeling grief about several things about fellowship and working together with love on our hearts first (they are posted on first post inside the links i gave)...
since all of this, i see that God caused me to feel strong grief, so i would see what i did. it has changed me and blessed me a great deal. i hope that you will feel compelled to seek out the posts, and feel God's great hands. :groupray:

Goldenviolet could it be fear you are feeling, knowing the season and the time, time for so many in darkness, lost and lied to is running out and we are feeling sadness, and helplessness that so many need the light of Christ and we know that if we could just get everyone to come together as the body should be and shine as the body could if we wernt bickering among ourselves fighting over who has it right, if everyone would just realize its about Loving one another, then just maybe , just maybe we wouldnt lose so many to the darkness, Goldenviolet so few of us know and understand the truth we have to stay strong we have to STAND and keep STANDING and get the simple truth out, we must make his Way Straight, dont give up your fight it is not fought alone and in Christ we will SHINE. May God strenghten you in Jesus name AMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  millerrod, blessings! let's replace that word fear with greif. i am grieved when i think of truth without love. truth without love is missing the point. the Holy Spirit grieves... spiritually... it is good to grieve with those who greive, good to rejoyce where there is joy.
:groupray:
For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life. 9 And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. 10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith. God bless you! i keep thinking about this. falling back... !
there is a time for everything. grieving isn't falling back. it is an important to grieve as it is to rejoyce. it is part of being created in God's image. there is deffinately wonderful purposes coming out of thing time that i am drawn to ponder and greive! you were right! how unfruitful truth without love is.... and how we are all knit together under our Father. our fellowship is building eachother spiritually; but sadly if we are without love, we can aslo cause eachother to stumble and become hard hearted.

i am compelled to urge all of us like-minded to take this upon our hearts as we post. to direct threads to peace and love. some threads really need one person to openly type in a prayer of blessings, love, peace, and encouragement... to not only set an example, but to pour out as many blessings upon the people in these threads possible. we should seek out each person to honor with some encouragement and prayer.

Hebrews 3:13
but exhort one another daily, while it is called “Today,” lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.

and the other is about posting (and fellowship) our rules don't cover this completely. this post is lengthly so i'll tell you what it is in a nut shell: the true deffinitions and commandments about love, fellowship and being a light. the purpose of me posting it was to get all of us like-minded to try and be awear of these things here on CF.

http://www.christianforums.com/t2562...ly-spirit.html

:cry:this thread is a good example of what i mean. it is a perfect opportunity to bear fruit, to teach him to pray, but instead it is everyone going all different directions. we light confusion and mixed messages. we discourage.

http://www1.christianforums.com/t256...-for-help.html

what can we do?

Glorify God Together
7 Therefore receive one another, just as Christ also received us, to the glory of God. 8 Now I say that Jesus Christ has become a servant to the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made to the fathers, 9 and that the Gentiles might glorify God for His mercy, as it is written:
“ For this reason I will confess to You among the Gentiles,
And sing to Your name.”

I am agreeing with you....this is a place where we should be served
with manna, with sweet milk and honey with the sweet fruits of the Spirit...yet more and more I see people speared and served on a platter.
Jesus loves little children..in fact he wants us to become like them, not immature, but trusting in child-like faith and tender.
Some of the posters on here are new to christianity, so we should approach them as such...always showing that Agape love, the God kind of love...even if it means shutting our mouths, unless we can let God do the speaking.
Sometimes I feel so grieved as well, yet I look at people like you who bring so much love and compassion to this place, and see so much insight and understanding, that I know God is doing a mighty work here.
I suppose we can pray, those of us whom the Holy Spirit has spoken to, that God will send a flood of mercy grace love and understanding upon this forum's members.
If we can't speak blessing, then for God's sake let's not speak.

I'm not talking about those just for fun threads, they are great.......but the threads where people are searching for real answers and have real problems...and are seeking the mind of the Lord, and looking for direction from His saints.

 Lord help us each to be an extension of your loving arms, AMEN!!!

((Hugs)) goldenviolet.....you have special heart for the lost and hurting , oh Lord help us all be as tender!!!

goldenviolet,
Though I have never met you, you may be one of the sweetest people I know. I'm not sure what I could say that you do not already know or that someone has not already posted. In light of that fact I will say this. When I find myself discouraged or covered in greif I have learned that there is only one place to go, to the foot of that glorious cross where our precious Savior willingly sacrificed His life for ours. Only the shoulders that were beaten and torn, then covered in a robe of mockery are strong enough to carry the burdens we find ourselves with. Only the hands that were pierced with nails are tender enough to hold us and give us comfort in our time of need. No one on earth has the power of the one who can call down legions of angels... but didn't. Only on that glorious day when the eastern sky is split open by a King returning for His bride will our battle be over. Until then, we are free to take our worn out bodies and souls to the foot of the cross and become cleansed and refreshed in the ever precious blood of our savior and Lord, Jesus Christ! Take heart and know that your labor is not in vain and that all your effort will bear good fruit for the kingdom of God. God bless you precious and sweet sister in Christ.

perhaps the title of it is all wrong, for the subject is all about love.

Rathvon, Wow. Your post made my eyes sting with tears. Bless you for your love and compassion.

goldenviolet's right... too many people on here tear down instead of building up. Throwing condemning scripture in a grieving, troubled one's face is about as discouraging as name calling. We do need more love and compassion in our replies and posts. As Christians, we're to be ambassadors for Christ. We need to start thinking, 'what would Jesus say in this situation?', not 'what do I think of this person and what they've done?'

:prayer: Father, I pray that You would put Your love in all our hearts. Let us see each other the way You see us. Let us love each other with Your love. In Jesus name. :amen:

In my roving on this forum I have noticed how you have encouraged so many. Even reading your post here, they are laced with love and compassion. Sometimes when one is always giving and seems to not take in the compassion in return, they may feel overwhelmed at times. I know in my years as a minister I got to where I needed to "draw aside and be refreshed with God's love and care. While you are grieving (which I agree with you we all need to do so) let the heavenly Father lift you in His big arms and carry you. He longs for our fellowship and love as dear children and as a child you most likely turned to your father or mother for comfort when you were hurting. It would be only natural for you to do so in this case. I am praying for you sister.:prayer:

thank you for that  !! :groupray: !!

this issue of grieving was much different than that of being spiritually overwelmed with exhaustion. i was grieving in my spirit for the love we as christains should mirror. the whole thing inspired many changes in me.
