Many of us know “Gregged”, and how he has helped BE with their taking of screen shots…well he ran across USNavyBlueAngel’s thread, and our plea for help, and has a temporary fix for us.

Greg presented his program to LeeD, and DoctorCF, for their approval to be used by us. Lee graciously said that it was an “Excellent” temporary solution until something more permanent could/would be done. He has given us the Green Light to proceed in working with this, he also said that he would keep in touch with us as to a permanent solution.

This is a program that Greg has written, and tested, it will allow us to quickly buy a quantity of food (only 10 still) all at once. Yup. It could be 10 Chickens at once, or say…3 Veggie Foods, 2 Biscuits, 1 Spider Food, 3 Ribbons and a Hormonal Injection…ALL IN ONE SWOOP. You certainly do not Have to use this, and this application will only work for those who have any version of Windows.

I have down loaded the application, earlier today, and have been working with it. Wonderful, wonderful. I know that we will have questions, been at him all day myself. I will go and copy and paste here everything that I have from him (with his permission) to make it a bit easier on him. The Doctor has him pawed up to come and answer any/all questions that we may have regarding this.

I have given him a copy of our All Member’s list so that each of us, if you so chose, now has access.

Yes, I can see you pet people ask lots of things Perfectly good and very reasonable though!!! Strange bunch of loving folk for sure. Once you move beyond the safety part of it, it'll move technical. So please bear with us, I know that you will.

1) Yes, your computer should certainly run as usual!!! Yours does... right?! It shouldn't affect it in any negative way at all. Looks Great Greg, I played around with it as I normally do quite awhile after logging out of here.

2) Hmm... how to explain this?! .NET 2 is a Microsoft product which is needed to run programs which are written using one of the .NET programming languages. It's a fairly new product which is why computers don't have it already on them - I'm not sure if Vista does - I believe it does... For programs written in older languages, all the files necessary to run them ship with the computer and the Windows operating system, so you don't have to download any files.

With Windows XP, you should run Windows Update periodically (if it's not set up to do it automatically). This keeps your system up to date, especially with security updates. Part of that system gives you software you can optionally download to keep your computer up to date - one of those is "Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0". It's not essential for anything else on your computer and won't interfere with it's running - it's there just to allow programs written in a .NET language (like mine) to run. Those programs will no doubt become more and more common but other than that, there are no other advantages... or disadvantages!

3) The "Agreement" ... is nothing other than normal blurb that comes with a free program. No, the licensing doesn't come with Windows. The licence is just saying that it's a free program, you can use it, let others have it, but as it's free part of the agreement is that it doesn't come with support - so if it doesn't work on your system for some reason (though it should) - I don't have any legal responsibility for supplying any updates, or helping someone with their system if something happens (though it shouldn't as a result of installing or using this!!!) etc. It could be going to a number of people, and I have to cover myself too - because you never know!

4) Doesn't affect your computer in a negative way at all apart from take up a bit more disc space! You just use your computer as you always have. Don't have to do anything different at all!

5) I don't mind any questions I know the system works and I'm of course not forcing anyone to use it!!! It's everyone's choice - I'm just trying to help speed things up for people. It just does what it "says on the box". Nothing else - it doesn't start deleting your hard drive or sending your files to me! It's just there to help if help's wanted So if people wanna use, that's fine but if people don't wanna use... that's fine too

I'm glad you were able to install it quickly and easily and hope you can use it. I'll put in any suggestions you or anyone has as I am able to.

Some other pet people know a little about me already and some things I do around the Blessings Exchange. One of the other things I've developed for them is something which very quickly and easily takes "screenshots" of their characters for the dressup games they have there. That system is completely different because it's web based... nothing has to be installed on their computer at all which is the best way... The reason this one can't be web based (and I wish it could) is because to buy food it has to work through *you* being logged into the forum. This can only be acheived by having the program installed on your machine.

By clicking on the column headers (now shown in blue) you can sort the table in different order. So if you wanted to find the thing that would give the most health, just click on the "He" column, or click on "Item" to show things in alphabetical order, or "Pet" to group things by pet... that type of thing... Sounds GREAT!!! The re-set button there will be so easy too

You may want to repair your installation of Adobe Acrobat Reader (it's not needed for this program), but you may run into Acrobat (PDF) files in the future. You can download and run the installation from http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html?promoid=BONRM

(On that site you can uncheck "Photoshop Album Starter Edition" if you want to - it's not needed.

I have windows xp was able to get the directions just fine, but where is the link to download the program???

That's wonderful - I'm glad you got it working I don't remember giving much help though! You did a great job working it all out yourself!
