Hello,

I've been really impressed by the debate section on this board. I'm most interested in why people believe certain ideas, and why people talk about such things as creationism and evolution but no one ever convinces anyone of anything.

I think there is common ground, but the differences are more fundamental than most people realize. We need to identify this gap before we will be able to bridge it.

You may want to check out the other denominational forums as well. There's quite a bit of debate that happens there (and friendly Q&A between denominations). It's a good way to learn why certain people believe certain things. The Catholic section, for example, has a huge Q&A zone. It's pretty interesting.

Besides all that, I'm not sure how much wandering aroud you've done, but there's tons to do here -- support groups, games, devotionals, "character" design, pets and much more. It's a fun place!
