I'm new here and hoping to learn from everyone.
I am a Hebrew Roots inspired Christian after 20 years as a Buddhist. Life is strange isn't it
While a child, I had been exposed to cultural Christianity and found it lacking and uninspired. I didn't really read the Bible just sort of skimmed and listened to others talking about the relevance of movies or tv shows in a Christian life...it was rather bizzare. Then I met a JW and listened to what they believed and looked further into that. I didn't go down that path but it opened my mind to looking at the actual texts of the Bible and the non-cannon but supported texts.
What a difference a few decades make. The ancient texts (such as Enoch and Jasher) matching up with modern science blew me away. They filled me with a hunger to start learning all the amazing synchronicities that could never be planned out thru centuries of different people writing different books.
I've embraced the foundations of the Law while recognizing my salvation was thru the most wondrous act of love every exhibited.
Shalom
