I know greed isn't a good thing, and not sure if this is classified as greed. I have a full time job, and a couple legit apps on my phone that make me extra money. I created 11 accounts on the apps on my phone all for myself.

I know it sounds like greed, but I am trying to get ahead on bills. Once I get ahead on bills I was planning on giving the extra income from the apps away.

I wanted to see what other Christians responses are to this. Should I delete all the accounts now except for 1, or is it ok to pay down debt this way?

I am really trying to better myself. Seems like when I start getting ahead something happens.

I think if you not lying, stealing or deceiving then ridding yourself of debt is a good thing. Charity is a good thing to do if you have extra money after your basic living expenses. But if your life is dedicated to just making money I can't agree.

A few things from scripture
15Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

4Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.

Peace be with all those in the body of Christ

Truly we are hear to serve and not to be served

Thats what I thought too. Just looked up greed the other day, and thought it was what I was doing.

I do have investments that might make me a ton of money, but I don't plan on living a lavish lifestyle. No fancy sportscars, no mansions, etc. Just plan on paying off my house, and helping family pay off there houses. Give them some extra money, and give to charities, more to church, etc. I do plan on keeping some though so hopefully won't be struggling like this.

I help people all the time when I can. Don't need money to help people all the time.

Doug2123,

If you’re violating the terms of use by setting up multiple accounts that’s a problem. But in respect to debt, its advisable to get rid of it and have the appropriate savings to meet your needs. One year or more is best. Six months is not enough.

You can adjust your giving when you’ve secured yourself financially and paid off the debt. There’s a lot of uncertainty at present. Exercise prudence and you’ll rest peacefully.

Yours in His Service,

~Bella

I wouldn't feel guilty about having wealth if you have earned it. Use it wisely, don't just splash it around. Pray about it and the Lord will bless you richly and lead you.
God bless

As long as it legal, then I don't see the problem. Paying down debt is a very responsible thing to do, certainly not a sin. To me greed comes into play where you refuse to make any sacrifices for anyone else so you can have more. It's being okay letting others go without their basic needs being met so you can have more.

I just looked at the terms, and it said limit 1 account per person. So I removed all the accounts except for 2. 1 for me, and 1 for my wife.

Thanks to everybody who responded.

I try my best not to break the law except for streaming movies. I found a way to do that free. Though the law states its not illegal unless you download the movies so technically not illegal.

If you Tithe, this will help you eliminate bills.

Guess i did the right thing deleting those accounts. I bought 4 tires beginning of the month they kept making it 1 state away, and than shipped back. Happened 2 times than i got a refund for all 4. Just got 1 tire yesterday, and sounds like 1 more today. Very strange.

Than at work somebody asked me to help them with a side job at their house. I offered to do it for $200, but this employee said he'd give me $450. Time to pay some debt.
