Dean shouldn't be on the list. Replace him with Olivier, or Richard Burton. Add Ben Kingsley.

I personally enjoy Derek Jacobi...He is an English actor who has performed in Henry V, I Claudius (t.v. series), Brother Cadfael (t.v. series on Mystery), Dead Again, Gosford Park, and others. Not blockbusters but always a great film which he enhances by a fine performance.

certainly actors vary in their roles.brando was weird.especially in the end,his films were terrible due to the scripts he took.tom hanks and denzel washington continue to make great films.i also like richard gere.

Let's face it, James Dean was a terrible actor who only ever made about four films. Rebel Without a Cause looks embarrassingly dated now.

I think one of the most diverse actors and one of my favorites, Johnny Depp. but, on the list ill go with Jimmy stewart

I didn't think James Dean's acting was that bad. No, he wasn't great either, but I really didn't think he was that all bad.

Jimmy Stewart would be my second choice. Of course this is only among the men listed. Jimmy isn't my second choice out of all the actors of movie history.
