Dispy's response in
1 Corinthians 15:1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached among you (the gospel of the Grace of God) which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
3 For I delievered unto you first of all lthat which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

I wasted my time reading the post (#12) above entiltled - “What the Commission does not Say”.
It is pointless. It has no substance. It offers nothing but an opportunity for someone to bloviate.
Allow me to show you what I mean by presenting the same type of pointless discourse with a favorite scripture misused on the dispensationalist side.
1 Corinthians 15:1-4 is a big favorite used by the dispy crowd. To many of them it is the “counter scripture” to the Great Commission as found in Matthew 28:19 – they do so hate to be left out of in the cold. This is their “Holy Grill” so to speak!
Unless my experience be found unique, just what does 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 NOT say?
(From the post given above I find…
-Does not even contain the word "grace," or refer to "the gospel of the grace of God."
Where is it found in the so called "great commission, and where did Jesus and the 12 preach it? What gospel did Paul preach (vs.1)?
-Does not mention the word "cross."
Where is it mentioned in the so called "great commissionand, and where did Jesus and the 12 preach it??
-Does not mention salvation through the blood of Christ, much less by faith in His shed blood.
Where is it mentioned in the so called "great commissionand, and where did Jesus and the 12 preach it?[/green]? How did Christ die (vs 3)
-Does not mention Christ's death as all-sufficient work of redemption as the basis for salvation, and where did Jesus and the 12 preach it.
Where is it mentioned in the so called "great commission, and where did Jesus and the 12 preach it?
-Does not offer salvation as the gift of God.
Where is it mentioned in the so called "great commission, and where did Jesus and the 12 preach it?
-Does not mention salvation apart from the law of Moses.
Where is it mentioned in the so called "great commission, and where did Jesus and the 12 preach it?

Where is it mentioned in the so called "great commission, and where did Jesus and the 12 preach it?
Where is it mentioned in the so called "great commission, and where did Jesus and the 12 preach it?
-Does not associate Christ's death and resurrection with our justification.
Where is it mentioned in the so called "great commission, and where did Jesus and the 12 preach it?
-Does not state that there is "no difference" between Jew and Gentile.
Where is it mentioned in the so called "great commission, and where did Jesus and the 12 preach it?
-Does not contain one word about the Body of Christ/the church of God.
Where is it mentioned in the so called "great commission, and where did Jesus and the 12 preach it?
-Does not mention one word about "all spiritual blessings are found in Christ."
Where is it mentioned in the so called "great commission, and where did Jesus and the 12 preach it?
So what ? There are non-points in this context.
There is much other dribble contained in that post that I disagree with, but I see no need to address each individual point when the thrust of the post is effectively benign.)
My examples above show only how banal such thinking is!
But Paul preached on every thing you brought up, whereas, one cannot find them in the so called "great commission."
Everything you brougt up is spoken of by Paul in "our greater commission" of Ephesians 3:9 and 2 Corinthians 5:17-20.
What Paul preached was NEW it had been kept secret since the world began.[/b]
It is inappropriate to take ONE scripture and then whine about what it does not say.
ONE scripture can not say it all. God did not give us just ONE scripture to cover the topic of salvation.
Yet the dispys in jealous desperation of what it repreents attack “
the Great Commission
” (Matthew 28:19) as if it were a personal attack upon them.
What does repreents mean?
It must be the effectual nature and truth contained within “the Great Commission” that dispys find so offensive and distasteful.
We find that the so called "great commission" cannot be carried out as stated in the gospels. James, Cephas (Peter) and John recognized this in Gal. 2:9 when they agreed with Paul and Barnabas that they would stay with the circumcision (Jews) while they (Paul and Barnabas) went to the uncircumcision (Gentiles/heathen). Weren't the 12 commissioned to go to all the world? Are they now out of the will of God?
“The Great Commission” does say…
Matthew 28:18 -And Jesus came to them and spake unto them, saying,
All authority hath been given unto me in heaven and on earth.
19Go ye therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father and
of the Son and of the Holy Spirit:
When did they go to the Gentile nations? Didn't they agree to stay with the Jews?
20 teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I commanded you: and lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.
Is there a problem here??? I don’t think so!
You might have a problem with Matthew 23:1 Then spake Jesus to the multitued, and to his disciples.
2 Saying, The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses seat:
3 All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do..."
How many hospitals have you emptied out in carrying out Mark 16:17 - 18? If you are not doing that, they are you really carrying out the so called "great commission?
Dispys parse this ONE verse more than any other book, chapter, or verse in my opinion.
Why is that???
When you rest your case, rest it upon the authority of the Lord Jesus Christ!
That I have by following the instructions in righteousness through the greater commission that God revealed to Paul through the mystery which was kept secret since the world began.
