  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

The first one popped up at 18, and slowly got worse. I know have all kinds of grey streaks, anymore I let my hair grow out long on top, so it's really noticebable.

Actually my hair is in a race, falling out, or turnig completely grey. Not sure who is going to win yet.

I started getting grey strands of hair in my 20's.But they usually fall out.Now i'm 30 and i have 3 or 4 that seem to be staying.I don't mind it, since i think grey hair can be very attractive.
Have a blessed day everyone*

I was probably 30. I was at work looking into the mirror and thought to myself, "Holy Smokes!!! It is not the light reflecting. It really is grey hair!!" I ran out onto the sales floor looking to black hair coloring treatment, but all we had was brown and blonde. Granted, it was just two grey hairs, but it finally made me come to terms that I'm no longer a spring chicken. THE HUMANITY!!!

See how pretty my hair is?

I started going grey at 16, actually mine is white. I was dyeing my hair by 20 and by 26 it grew so fast I took to looking like a skunk and gave up. It's white now. My husband alway's did prefer blondes.

If thats the case I should join MENSA. I have to dye my hair every three weeks.

I have to maintian about that same schedule or otherwise I will get two large streaks starting at the temple going about half way back the top of my head. Basically where you would part your hair on both sides plus various other areas around my hairline. I started getting some grays in my early 20's, but it's gotten much worse in the last couple of years. I've died my hair for most of my adult life so it's not a big deal, but I have less of an option of letting my hair grow out a little before I dye it because medium brown roots on red hair is not as obvious as light gray shiny roots!

I knew someone who was in his 40s, and had such beautiful platinum white hair that they used him in a church play as Gabriel. An added bonus -- he had a baby face.

Mid to late 20's I guess is when I started seeing an occasional gray.. I can't be bothered with dye. I have a fair sprinkling of them now.. personally if people wouldn't think I was having chemo I'd just shave my head and not be bothered with hair at all.

I found my first gray hair, glinting brazenly among my other dark brown strands, at age 24. It really bothered me at the time, because I was already feeling "old", and that just seemed to confirm the feeling.

By the time I was 26, it was noticeable enough that I started dying my hair. But I got so aggravated with either finding time to go to the salon, or coloring it myself, that by age 30 I just gave up and decided to let it come out.

I now have several white streaks in the front and sides of my hair that look like chunky highlights. My mother was recently polite enough to inform me that I would probably be totally white by the time I hit 45.

Ah, the joys of aging!
