Oh oh, is Star Trek V that bad? It can't be any worse than Star Trek Discovery, with that mushroom powered engine/drive.

Spore Drive activated (Duration = 1 min 20 sec):
Watch it at your peril, I suggest you are accompanied by another viewer and a heart defibrillator.

There is an old joke among Trekkies that the odd number movies (yes, including the first one) are bad and the even numbers are good.

I remember Star Trek I. It took a 1/2 hour for the bloody ship to get out of dock. Oy!

Haha, that is a good one. I might skip V though, cos it portrays God apparently, and I do not like when movies portray God other than Christ Jesus.

WIthout spoiling anything, you don't really need to worry about that. Not to say it's a good movie, but that particular concern doesn't apply.

Good, just making sure. The movie does not seem that good from reviews, so I should skip from 4 to 6, and skip over 5.

This is still off topic, but honestly I feel it's worth seeing, just to get the experience. I will say though, that Undiscovered Country is very good.

Once I get to Undiscovered Country, I will tell you my opinion on that movie (most likely a positive opinion). Just ordered Star Trek IV from the library. It should arrive tomorrow or by Friday. Eventually, I will get to Star Trek VI and beyond over the next few weeks.

I read that Gene Roddenberry didn't want any references to God and religion in his episodes of Star Trek.

However, as the scripts were being written, he got a reality check in the form of finding it too hard to leave God and religion out of his shows.

And did you see the episode where Spock is crying tears and rambling; and he says "six ... six ... six"?

I did know that Roddenberry was agnostic, but I do wish that he converted to Christ. Honestly, if I was traveling in space in the year 2300, my faith would deepen, as God's creation is so beautiful.

Also, I do not remember the episode where Spock says 666.

Yeah, I think Spock said 24666 or something. But do not worry, Star Trek is not evil. :) Anyways, it is getting late, and I better let the fine folks here discuss gravitons, so I do hope you have a blessed night, brother in Christ.

It has been almost 10 years since watching Star Trek TOS. Dang, 2015 was a long time ago already.

Go ahead and watch ST V. Unlike II, III, IV, and VI it may be your only viewing. It's not dire, and it is definitely not dull (like TMP). Just remember as "Shatner" said in Futurema "Where No Fan Has Gone Before": "and I got such a great performance out of me in Star Trek V because of how much I respected myself." :) (There might also be gravitons...)

Well then, I might just have to try out Star Trek V. Plus, I can not miss out on the gravitons.
