Grateful today for all of you

Some of you read my post about the benzo w/drawal today. And you group of people got me to the doctor. Although, it did not go as well as planned, I am sure that because I have turned my life over to the Lord, it went the way it was supposed to. I will be weaning off of it at a quicker pace than most, but at least it won't be this bad again when they are finally gone. I am going to search fearlessly to decide whether I am an addict. I hope that you all will pray for me that God will uncover anything that needs to be accepted. I am so grateful that I found this sub-thread. What an amazing group!

I didn't really say anything in your last thread because I don't have any experiance with your drug of choice. But I want you to know that god will take you, and heal you, and never forget that EVERYTHING that is happening, as long as god is in control, is moving toward a greater good. You will be fine, use your withdrawls as a reason to never use again, because a day might come when you think it wasn't that bad, tha's what we do best.

princess, you're in my prayers.

I second what BigChris said - if and when you find yourself thinking that maybe it's okay to use again, make sure you play the tape out to the end. It's easy to remember the euphoria and forget about the wreckage.

And in case you haven't yet, I suggest you find a local NA meeting.
