My grandfather passed away on Dec 2, 2004. My family is all Catholic and have a firm faith. My grandfather was the bravest and unselfish person I know. His death was sudden, and he did not suffer, so I thank God for that. I ask God to pray for my family. I also ask God to pray for the Doctor and Nurse who had to deliver thenews to us because that must be the hardest part of thier job. This is just a side note: At the wake service, I felt as if I were weightless and a tingling sensation. i felt that God was with my physically. The only time this happened before was during my confirmation retreat. Hasthis happened to anyone else? It was a very soothing feeling.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I pray for Track Tony and his family as they grieve the loss of his grandfather. May they be comforted by your love and care. I pray also for the nurse and doctor Lord as the bearers of sad news must be difficult. Thank you for comforting Tony at the wake with your special presence that was dear to him. Thank you Lord.
