Many of you may remember that 19 months ago, my daughter gave birth to her first child 13 weeks early. Well, today is her due date with her second child. She has had on again and off again labor pains this week with more this morning. Labor stalled. She is at her weekly ob check now.

We are all praying that baby makes an appearance soon now.

Well, it's been a week Jane. Any progress?:)

Yes Stude there has been progress.

Little Ruth Marie arrived at 6:20 p.m. weighing in at 7 lbs. 15 ozs and 20.75 inches long. Mother and baby are doing well.

I have been with them pretty much since then and just got home.

Ruth will be brought to the waters of baptism on Sat., Sept. 21 during the Saturday evening service.

We are thankful for the safe arrival of Ruth and Mom is doing quite well too. This has been a far different experience for her as her firstborn arrived 13 weeks early. Such a contrast.

Mom was ecstatic she got to hold her baby right away and bring her home with her yesterday. She had to leave Samuel in the NICU and had to wait 3 days to hold him.
