Gracious Words - Proverbs 16:24

I believe that is about speaking when you are in the Spirit. Why? Because when you are in the Spirit, your heart and mind are at peace, and only peaceful gracious words can come out of your mouth!

But, if we are in the flesh, then its fruits will also manifests. Anger will be one of them. And the Bible says that the anger of man does not do the righteousness of God.

When we feel angry, whatever we say, is backed up by our anger in us, and others will notice it, and it will burn them. An angry tongue is a poison, and is on fire and sets our whole life on fire.

So, when we feel angry for whatever situation, let us pause for a few seconds or minutes, and if we are very angry, let us pause and not speak for hours or longer.. until we feel calm again, so that we get out of the flesh and be in the Spirit again.

The Bible says starting a quarrel is like breaching a dam, so let us drop the matter before the quarrel continues, and we become very angry. Then the dam will brake and everything in our lives will be flooded.

James 1:19 says that we must be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to become angry.

Why? Because our anger will burn whatever is around us, and will burn other people too. Feelings are contagious, which means, when we listen to an angry person, we start feeling angry, or when we listen to a laughing person, we start feeling like laughing.
