  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Once we have come into Grace, we would actually have to exert ourselves to not confess Christ.

Confessing Him is our reality, it is right as rain.

So then, Asaph, if I'm understanding what you're implying, a confession of salvation ("if you believe . . . and confess w/ your mouth . . .") is a litmus test, it being an inevitable consequence, a natural reaction, if the Grace of salvation was indeed received?

No, I never said it was a litmus test for anything. But I think I can detect from your phrasing that you probably believe that you picked God, and I know that I didn't pick God, He picked me. So from experience, I don't want to go down this road with you. Not that I can't robustly defend my position, but that there has already been enough contention on the forum lately and I just want to rest for a while.

I will if you really feel we must though. Your call. :)

Dear Asaph,

I'm afraid you completely misunderstood.

And I would agree, there is no road the Lord would will be traveled here.

Blessings, Peace, jim

BJ, thanks for your understanding. I do think there will come a time when we can discuss these things in love and peace. I look forward to that.

Be greatly blessed today,
Asaph
