Grace enough

Lord, You seem to be wanting me to learn a lesson this morning, and I come here to ask for help that I may learn it and claim it in my heart and attitude.

The devil wants me to believe that Your love is not big enough, or that others' success takes something away from me. LORD, I do not wish to believe that. I believe that Your grace IS enough, and that the false "I win, therefore you lose" mentality of man is a sandtrap set out to hinder Your kingdom.

How easily I get caught up in anger, especially now when the man who deeply wronged me is enjoying success and earning people's praise. LORD, by Your mercy, please help me to realize that the anger only hurts me, and that You have blessed me with a good life. Help me to know that You are a God of BOTH/AND, not EITHER/OR.

The world out there tempts us as so the Devil, in your sitution now God has obviously spoke to you this morning. I will pray you will learn from this and that the Lord will give you guidance also. The Lords Love is big enough for everyone and more, don't allow those who don't know him give you questions. You are stronger than them as you have Gods power in you. Give any doubt you feel to the Lord and leave it with the Lord, as you know in your heart that God is stronger than anything in this world, including temptation from the Devil. The Devil is nothing to God as OUR GOD REIGNS

Well Jen,

I glad that you realized that. Sometimes the devil will use other's success (even is wrongly gained) to discourage you and draw you away from Christ. You can't focus on that, you have to push forward and look for what God has for you. I'm praying for you

Thank you all for your prayers and encouragement. I really appreciate it. I went through the day today trying to catch myself when I started comparing or coveting or feeling like I have to compete with people for praise/attention/power/etc. Sadly, I realize I do this often; but at the same time, it was freeing to be able to call upon God's truth - His love and grace is enough for all. I guess, because of my upbringing, this win-win attitude is a bit foreign to me. Guess I grew up feeling like I was often on the 'losing' end.

Give any doubt you feel to the Lord and leave it with the Lord, as you know in your heart that God is stronger than anything in this world, including temptation from the Devil. The Devil is nothing to God as OUR GOD REIGNS
