  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I am currently attending a two year community college right now. When I transfer will my grade point average carry as I go into a new school or will I have a new start (start with 0.0 again?) I am trying hard to get a 3.0 gpa or higher at my community college. I was curious if I will keep this GPA when I transfer to a four year university. Thank you everyone. God bless...

It depends. Different schools have different policies about this, but usually, when you transfer credits from another school, you also transfer whatever grade you had at that school. Therefore, if all of your credits transfer to the new university, you will have the same GPA as before. However, there is a pretty good chance that the new university will not accept all of your credits (although it would probably take most of them). In that case, your GPA would be based only on the credits that do get transferred.

It depends at my school, there are requirements for minimum GPAs that apply only to work done at the university. Also only coursework done at the actual University counts towards honors like the Deans List, or Phi Beta Kapa and the like. However if you apply for a job or internship that requires your GPA, they usually cont all college level coursework.
