  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I wouldn't consider this in the natural so I do not believe that this is a literal dream.

My dear hubby and I divorced. We were living with a pastor's family, but were/are not members of this church. Before I left the pastor's house I had to show him how to plug in the hair dryer because he did not know how to do it. This seemed important for him to know how to do this. I showed him easily...i just turned the plug right side up. He was trying to plug in the wrong way (upside down).

I left my family there and went to live in a dorm looking room or building. My hubby helped me to move into this room and there were three beds all lined up in the room to my right. My hubby was lying in the third one as if he missed me (how sweet). I really didn't want to be there but looked forward to opportunities unseen.

Hiya Kimmiemae,
It appears that at some point there may be a 'divorcing' of unity. This separation may be a result of not having the proper wisdom. A plug & socket symbolize one's ability to 'plug into' the Holy Spirits power. A hair dryer is used to dry & prepare the hair. Hair biblically represents our wisdom and thoughts. The wetness of one's hair symbolizes a form of trouble. The good news is that the Lord is going to correct the problem and get people plugged into Him correctly. Unity will once again be restored.

I wouldn't consider this in the natural so I do not believe that this is a literal dream. If part of it is symbolic...all of it is.

My dear hubby and I divorced. A type of spiritual separation. The end part of the dream indicates that the separation of what this dream represents isn't permanent, but needs to be "worked out/resolved".

We were living with a pastor's family, but were/are not members of this church. This may represent an "aspect" of your marriage that needs inverting or changing in order to make it work better...Or any home church or spiritual leader you are or will become close to, who needs some input from you on a certain matter that is associated with "concepts and preparation" . I include "preparation" because the blower is a avenue of preparation of hair. This leader/home church/husband needs to change their thinking/concept concerning a matter. Hair does point to thoughts and ideas,. If we are brushing our hair in a dream, we are sorting out and oganizing our thoughts. In this dream it is the machine/mechanisim that we use to dry hair (again a form or preparation) Water usually represents the emotions or the Holy Spirit and hair represents thoughts/concepts. So to dry hair is to eliminate the overly emotional aspects involved in the issues. (note; if the water in this dream respresented the Spirit, you wouldn't want to eliminate it by drying the hair. So in this dream, you know it is emotional aspects of the issue at hand that need drying up.)

It seems that the leader (or husband) needs their thinking to flip over (obtain proper position) and to then "connect" to the power source.(outlet=power of the Holy Spirit)

I left my family there and went to live in a dorm looking room or building. My hubby helped me to move into this room and there were three beds all lined up in the room to my right. Three/trinity. To the right=a place of authority. Could represent you taking/staying in a postion/stance with the general Christian or female/wife population and a more widely accepted concept/teaching of the issue at hand...(a dorm being a place where many stay that have a common thread in life). It also points to a more "public" position than the privacy of your own bedroom.... a quiet "personal" place of reflection, rest and prayer. So, I can see where you would rather be there than in the dorm room.

My hubby was lying in the third one as if he missed me (how sweet). The leader, the Lord, or husband is not leaving your side, and it is sweet...it also reveals the Holy Spirit's involvement in all of the rest of the dreams symbolic meaning.
I really didn't want to be there but looked forward to opportunities unseen. The perfect stance for a believer (obedient "hanging in there" as directed, against the fleshly desire to go home and seek privacy/"self care/retreating" and also the looking forward to the Lords leadings and resolutions of the issue at hand in the near future. Your hope in Him and His plans reigns in your heart and mind.

I've heard that men act helpless intentionally, so you'll do it. (-;
.Or any home church or spiritual leader you are or will become close to, who needs some input from you on a certain matter that is associated with "concepts and preparation" .
You seem to have such a heart for the work you do, that many of your dreams appear (to me) ministry-related. I would guess your husband was a branch of the ministry -- whether an accountability partner, an overseeing/mentoring pastor, a church, or someone else that you trust and confide in.

Another way we have seen hair appear here, has been the visual covering or appearance people build up for public respect. It covers the head/control center, making it appear more beautiful (or oily). I wouldn't say that drying the hair is as vain, but more of a preparation that needs to be done before going out in public. Like prayer for protection.

If a pastor had been upside down all along, it could mean he hasn't been drying his hair/preparing all this time. You knew he should have known. You knew it was something so simple and basic that he should be ashamed for not knowing how to operate in his own house.

Your husband in the third bed seems to have deferred to you -- humbled himself and made a thoughtful gesture to leave room for others. (No comment, lol, we're talking about partnerships here.)

We have been visiting churches for the past year now and everywhere we go we are to pray for the church.

I believe the Lord is taking care of the situation as we are obedient to pray in agreement. Usually these matters come about so supernaturally that it is EASY, because God has gone ahead of us, as usual (when it IS His will).

Thank you all for your input.

God has given me two specific dreams about specific churches. One church I was told to go and deliver the message and it took a year before I could even find the Pastor. WOW! He listened and I never met the man in my life and didn't even know the church. I just met another Saint this weekend that started to share how God had given her dreams of this particular church too.

Many Saints in our community say there is a dark cloud looming in the spirit over us. I refuse to be under this cloud! Only the Glory cloud. hahahaha!

We attended a revival this weekend with only about 10-12 from our community showing up. There was only one church leader there from our community. I know it was communicated because I saw the fliers everywhere and I know they spoke with the churches for support.

I know God drew who needed to be there! Just sad that there is not more support, unity, hunger.

The Divorce, firstly, is either going to be something good, or an actual divorce.
Id say the part about the Hair Dryer means you are unhappy with God about something. Why? You made him look foolish.
About moving into the Dorm, Id say this means you think men are foolish. The part about them helping you move into it is about how much men actually accomplish. Then the part of him lying next to you, is about how a Divorce never heals.

But lets say its something happy. You're super happy with your marriage. But you are weak towards God. The ending part about you moving unto the Dorm, is about how your family is strong in the Lord, but you are weak for the moment, and they are desperately wanting you to hop abroad.

THanks! how did you learn to interpret dreams. At first I just wait on the Lord and I still wait on HIM, but I also have a book of Ira Milligan that helps when I am stuck on a particular thing.

What would an eskimo represent?

Jesus taught me!

He's the best teacher in the world! (refer to the scripture in my signature).
Contrary to the incorrect beliefs of some, I do not own a single dream interpretation book, it's funny how people judge & make assumptions. However, I firmly believe dream books are helpful, and scriptural symbols & metaphors definitely apply to dreams.
In regards to your eskimo, I would need to see how the symbol is being used in context of the dream to be able to know. Every symbol can be used in a number of both negative and positive ways, so context is important.. But off the top of my head what comes to me for an Eskimo is "someone who is able to easily adapt to a cold spiritual climate".
Hope that helps, bless you!

... Oh P.S. I am still learning - it's a never ending process. I don't always get interpretations right, and do not want to come across as some self proclaimed expert. When i interpret a dream, I do not look at other people's interpretations because I want Holy Spirit to guide me. It doesn't matter if a person has studied dream interpretation for 25 years, if Holy Spirit isn't our teacher, they'll get it wrong because it's from the flesh.
God bless you girl! xo
