Rep. Keith Self, R-Texas, abruptly adjourned a congressional hearing on Tuesday after Rep. Bill Keating, D-Mass., vehemently objected to Self recognizing Rep. Sarah McBride, D-Del., as "the representative from Delaware, Mr. McBride."

McBride, who identifies as a transgender woman, responded to Self — who chairs the House Foreign Affairs Committee's Europe Subcommittee — by saying, "Thank you Madam chair."

As McBride sought to continue speaking, ranking member Keating interrupted, asking Self, "could you repeat your introduction again please?"

I totally agree, but as the world (or some of it) seems to think otherwise, it might be wise if they addressed each other as the "Representaive from ____" or use first and surnames, otherwise the business they are there to do might not get done.

Also, the person who pointed out that McBride was the duly elected Representative from.....had a point. The people who voted for him/her presumably did so knowing that he/she was transgender. As much as I hate the transgender issue. in a democracy we have to accept that others don't agree with us. I think it's good to make a case against it, but to use a title which might get their backs up doesn't seem to me to be the best way to go about it.

There is just so much wrong with this.
Nobody should be compelled, coerced, or threatened to tell what they know to be a lie.
That is a man. Everyone knows it. Play games if you want, but using female pronouns when referring to a man is misgendering.
It is lying.
The dramatic theatrics of the Democrat sound silly.
If you do not vote these woke tyrants out; they will be prosecuting you for hate crimes simply because you refuse to lie. You know, one of the big ten:"thou shalt not..."

Exactly right. Not only are they asking us to participate in their fantasy, they are asking us to validate it. They are asking, no, demanding that we lie. This person was not a woman and never will be. Nobody should be compelled or coerced into lying.
This reminds me of Picard when Cardassian Madred blinds Picard with four bright lights, ordering him to say that there are five lights, and then causing Picard pain when he insists: "There are four lights!"
