Why is it that when I make any changes to a document on my iPad it doesn’t show up when I view it on my computer?

I was intrigued by your question so i looked it up and found this:

Set up syncing between your Mac and iPad

Sync iPad with your computer

I like the idea of instant updating but only have an iPad, not a Mac.

Good luck!

I'm no expert but I think Google docs has an option to save to the cloud and likely there is an option to update from the cloud also (sync maybe) and if that isn't set up it won't happen via Google itself. If there is an Apple sync feature that would possibly be separate?

There's "last edited" and then "last edited by me" - if you're viewing "last edited by me" on your computer then it might not show up until you select "last edited" even if the accounts are synchronised. (Google Docs can actually be a strange thing.)

I found out the other day that when you open the document and click on the last edited time and date, that EVERY update you have ever done will be available - a side note, but cool I thought.

With one document, I had every version of it going right back to 2013. Times, dates, old spelling mistakes, everything.
