• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

    If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

    If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together.   • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I am leaving this forum for a while

the fact is that lately my participation in this forum is doing me more harm than good and not just due to the egotism of a few of its members but to the fact that while i have gotten support and had the opportunity to give a small amount of support , it's also aggravating my condition and i need to leave it for a while . The more i seek support the more i get slapped in the face with some holier than thou attitude or i find myself confused and conflicted between opinions on what is true and the stress is not good for me .

Theological Issues and Biological issues need to be adressed along side Psychological issues .. And in my opinion if you are struggling with Religious OCD if you take one of these away you cripple the process of successful treatment and or recovery .

I would just say ditto pretty much to what Rachel said. If this forum is hindering more than helping, by all means, abandon it. However, if at some point you again feel you could be helped by it, come on back.

Prayers for your OCD struggles~ You know we all know how debilitating that can be~:prayer::hug:
And thanks for posting the website. I'll give it a look!
