Given the clear change in tone towards Catholicism over the past week or so (the endless string of anti-Catholic posts, each one belittling one point of the Catholic religion, then another, all by one or two posters), this was bound to happen.

VOW is better than this place deserves.

VOW, from a person who mostly lurks when she's on here, I want to say you will be missed....very much! I can understand your upset feelings. I checked out a couple threads, and think I know what you are alluding to here.

But, gal, you do so much good on these boards. I just wanted to let you know that. I think that's why you get singled out sometimes. What you say makes sense, and it's just too hard for some people to realize that you just might be speaking the truth.

Yes, there are other really good Catholic apologists on these boards, and each of them has helped me in one way or another. But they aren't leaving...you are. So I want to thank you, VOW. I could read and study till the day I die and never be as articulate and as easy to understand as you are in matters Catholic. I just don't have that wonderful gift that you do.

So... Here's to VOW.

I will miss you so much. I was so frustrated with the anti-catholic banter on christian forum that I almost didn't switch to this forum. Then I saw your posts and decided it was more then worthwhile to switch. I do understand if you need a break. Even Jesus had someone carry his cross for part of the journey. Hopefully a Simon will pick up your cross. You will be missed and may God bless you and all your loved ones.

Goodbye for now, but I hope you will still stop in from time to time. I myself was about to say goodbye. When I get on this board the word "hypocrites" keeps coming to mind but if you look past the negative remarks you'll see a lot of love. Even though we are on computer screens the love and caring comes through.

Some people believe things so strongly they try knocking you over and stomping it into you that they are right and you are wrong..... but looking past that you will find someone come a long and state their opinion and even though you don't understand it it makes you smile.

Neil (I don't know his screen name) wrote to me about the trinity and even though I didn't fully understand what he was getting at he did it with such beautiful heart-felt words. There are a lot of good kind-hearted people on here. The negative judging/condemning remarks aren't good or right....I'm not sure what to do about them but I try to defend others and myself in a caring way. I won't say I got it down but with each time someone begins slaming another and I step in I learn.

One time I was kinda the guilty party with Unworthy when he was talking about the Antichrist clone. I really hope he/she realized I was just joking around with them in the end. I really like Unworthy!

Your name is one that stood out to me from the very beginning I made my picture thing like yours "wisdom" and changed it out of respect for you to make it easier for you to find your posts. I am not sure what you had said that touched me but I know you did. NicklovesAbb stands out to me cause I have a baby named Abby...yesterday he made a really nice post about denomination not mattering and it really touched me.

I hope that you will come from time to time and see what others have to share and share with us. I myself need to cut back from this board. I got on here to post an inspiration I was given Simplicity of Life and then stuck around to read all the interesting topics. I just can't spend so much time trying to defend myself when someone says I can't call myself a Christian..and I can't make right every fabrication over another's religion. I have a family and a life outside of this board. This board is truely a great meeting place though and helps me to say what I may not say face to face to someone. I'm 33 years old but still a little shy.
