  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Coming to accept Christ was definitely the most rewarding experience of my life. It has changed me. Knowing and accepting Christ has brought me joy. I spent years being depressed, battling with sadness but I remember the night I truly accepted Christ. I had never experienced true joy before that night. Now, I can’t imagine living without that joy and life without Christ for me would mean life without joy and peace. Since the moment I accepted Christ I knew the meaning of living. Life is about much more than counselors, psychiatrists or drugs to give me stability. I couldn’t find it in self help books; I found it in Christ. I remember the first time I read II Corinthians 5:17:
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone and the new has come!”
I was so excited because I did feel like a new creation, a new person and because I knew that Jesus gave me a second chance. As well as a third, fourth, and fifth chance too…
