Will we finally get a younger candidate? If there is no candidate chosen by August, could a third party candidate such as Peter Sonski get some votes?

We need some folks born after 1950 or even after 1960 running for office.
They’re going to have to go with Kamala. No way to skip over the first black female VP.

Yeah. I heard that. He's done. This is the excuse they needed to get him out. Even if the story is fabricated. How do you prove he does or doesn't have it?
Yes. I think Joe is out

The covid diagnosis might certainly be the pretext for him to drop out. Next obvious choice to preserve funding would be VP Harris. Maybe she could select Witmer as her running mate? :)

The problem for the democrats is that the longer they wait, the harder it is to recover. i.e. just a hypothetical - what if he dies three days before the election. And in his condition, that is extremely plausible.

I will be voting for whomever is on the Not Convicted Felon Trump ticket. :)

Of that I am sure. The Democrats could literally run NOT TRUMP on the ballot and they'd have plenty of votes.

Never underestimate the Democrats ability to rig elections in their favor.

Some people would still vote for him.
Well, my friends parents would both have. She found out they both had been voting regularly until she informed the state that they were both dead. One for over a year and the other for over a decade. Reminds me of the old joke,

My dad used to always vote republican, but he switched to the Democrats after he died. :tearsofjoy:

Well, I'm one that stand firm that the last election was stolen in broad daylight. The problem is that they would have a tough time repeating that now, especially since they would have to dig up a lot more fake ballots than last time.

I don't think that's what's happening. I'm just trying to understand the strategy, if there even is one at this point.
While a clear dem strategy is not apparent, we know that its first and primary objective is, as it is for all politicians, "KEEP MY JOB".

Yeah, but I think Biden's primary objective is very much at odds with the Democratic party's primary objective. When the debate happened, I predicted Biden would be replaced within weeks. I still believe that will likely happen. But only time will tell.

They supposedly did it while Trump was president. How can it possibly be harder now that he’s not?

I am sure that is probably what is gonna happen. We need someone else though, such as Peter Sonski or Liz Cheney.

Several, but mail in's made it especially easy. Few people want to drill into "voter turnout" in that particular election. i.e. the greatest evidence is math. Even if you can't prove how a thing was done, sometimes the evidence that it was done is staring you in the face.

I feel the nation is in great danger right now because of the incompetency of our current president, and the fact that all the bad players in the world know it. In fact, I think the risk of something catastrophic being foisted on us grows with every day as we approach election day.

I think it would be worse with Kamala. I think AOC would be more competent. :tearsofjoy:

"KEEP MY JOB" is a personal political objective and as such supersedes in priority any political group objective. I think what we're witnessing now is Joe's attempt to keep his primary objective threatens the primary objective of all his fellow Dem's especially the down ballet candidates this year.
