I don't expect that Tom will see this but I do believe that he was married today. Say an extra prayer for him and his new bride as the begin their lives together.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Thanks everyone. The lead up to the wedding was very stressful (especially for my wife), but the day went off without a problem, we had an awesome time ... and the honeymoon ROCKED!
I'm sad because it had to end and I had to get back to this thing called "work".

Blessings on married life to you. Being single myself, I have no experienced wisdom to share. But I have two friends, a couple whose marriage is most like the marriage I'd like to have, and I remember a conversation I had with the wife one day. We were talking about other friends who were newlyweds and effusively and publicly affectionate, always saying that they would be newlyweds forever. My friend said that was nice, but she was glad that she and hubby didn't stay "newlywed" forever -- not because it was anything less than wonderful, but because her favorite part of the marriage was what came after that. She said that time together just deepened what they had in the beginning. I hope that you and your new wife find that each stage of your life together is richer and more rewarding than the one before it.
