  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Here's a good interview:

Some interesting quotes:

"And then Tree63 exists solely to point upwards. There’s an artistic side to what we do, but it’s ultimately geared towards getting people to think about the reason for the music rather than just the music. So our function on stage is to redirect the whole evening to say thanks to God."

"CCM has become so independent that it’s lost their reason why they do it. And for us to bring Christ back to Christian music – or at least be one of the bands that does that… "

"Essentially Christian musicians and Christian artists – in a perfect world – should be focusing the art on glorifying God. But it takes an important prayer from people. Because the reason we make the music is to uplift and edify Him. So they need to be praying for us to receive the most edifying stuff from God, it’s like a big cycle... So it would be just to encourage them that their prayers can affect the music they get."
