"Good" Friday

Today is "Good" Friday
because it commerates
the death of JESUS

when i think of the pain
the mock trial,
the fact that they murdered
a wonderful kind peaceful man
i wonder how this day got the "good" label

then i realize what HE did
HE did it for me
HE allowed them to kill HIM
(he could have come down off the cross)
HE allowed them to murder HIM
because HE loves us so much
that HE died so we can live forever with HIM!!
HE loves us that much

Because HE chose to die for me
i choose to live for HIM

Thank YOU, JESUS!!

I find it very difficult to look at the suffering that Jesus went through for us but I want to acknowledge it somehow because He did it for me, for all of us.
This year hasn't felt like Easter for me, my church has only one service on Sunday morning, I don't know why they don't have a service except then.
So I read about how Jesus was mocked in the Bible and suffered and I wish it hadn't had to be that way for Him, this is Jesus, wonderful Jesus who gave everything and is good and He so did not deserve any of it.
It does make you want to live for Him because of what He chose to take on my behalf because He loves me, pouring Himself out like that.
like you said lonnienord, because He chose to die for me I choose to live for Him.
I pray my life would be a worthy thank you offering for Him, it falls short so much but He knows I'm wanting to live for Him though and a work in progress wanting to please Him.
i've gone on here a lot but I needed to say something about what it means to me what He's done for me, it means a great deal to me, words can't do it.

Precious Yeshua. We can NEVER thank Him enough. I am so glad He is in His glory now. But I know He wants all His Beloved home with Him!
