Good Books

I would like to open a new thread to discover what books you read this past year (2003) that made a lasting impression on you. I would also like to know what your all-time favorite book is:

My choices for 2003 are

THE RAGAMUFFIN GOSPEL, Brennan Manning
WHAT’S SO AMAZING ABOUT GRACE?, Philip Yancey
WHO IS MY ENEMY? Rich Nathan
MESSY SPIRITUALITY, Michael Yaconelli

My all-time favorite book:

MERE CHRISTIANITY, C.S. Lewis

Hey Svt4Him, I am sure we agree on a lot more things than we disagree. Thanks for participating in this thread.

FYI “Mere Christianity” was voted by Christian leaders in a poll taken by Christianity Today as the #1 best book of the 20th Century. And I certainly agree with that.

If you would like to see the complete list of the top 100 books you can link here: http://www.christianitytoday.com/ct/2000/005/5.92.html.

Ya, I believe it.

Yahoo, I've read another on the top ten:

4. J. R. R. Tolkien
The Lord of the Rings (trilogy)
A classic for children from 9 to 90. Bears constant re-reading.

I have been reading all of Chuck Colson's books. What an amazing witness. Also, fiction of Frank Peretti and Francine Rivers. Also, Joyce Meyers and Charles Stanley.

Hope to keep reading 2 books a week in 2004, plus the Bible!
