Going with the flow vs. following my heart?

I have realized that God=love, love=God.

Hate to be the big scary fundie, but that's technically not correct. God is love, but love is not God.

Maybe I will eventually see myself the way God does. I think I finally see Jesus as something other than yet another reason for me to feel ashamed and guilty, which is what I had always felt.

Good! Jesus didn't die to condemn you, He died to make you God's adopted daughter.

I think I'm still a bit wary of stuff, I guess it's in my nature to assume that the moment I believe that Jesus died for my sins, I will automatically stop sinning, where in reality I have probably increased my number of sins.

We are never perfect once we start believing. We're just forgiven, and we learn that we've got more sins in our lives than we first thought. But that is not a deal breaker. Not by a long shot when you consider that you get to go to Heaven and that God has a purpose for you here on earth.

So glad you have been encouraged. I am a great one for jumping to conclusions, so I need to ask, when you said you guessed you 'took the plunge' - does that mean you trusted in Christ alone to pay for all your sins and to get you to Heaven? Sure hope so.

1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, ....(KJV)

I feel like dancing! The Bible says the angels in Heaven are rejoicing over you. What a wonderful life you are embarking on.


First thing,if you haven't already, I would suggest you write down the date you trusted Christ as your sinbearer, in your Bible. That way you will always be able to look back and know the exact day of the most important decision of your life.
